We plan to have cases there, but it seems some people want to bring their own PC so we're looking into that as well.

I'll come to spectate. I'm going to MLG Colombus, The Showdown, and Apex2. Possibly MLG Orlando as well, so I don't think I'm going to enter.
You live in Phoenix right? You're going to travel to out of state tournaments, but you aren't going to play in the biggest "local" tournament?

Nothing against Phoenix shindigs, but I play the competition around here almost every other weekend at tourneys. I moved here from Indiana recently and I can only hang out with all my smash friends back in Midwest once or twice a year. I'm going to be down there for the time span between MLG Columbus and The Showdown in June, so I'll hit both of them while I'm back there visiting.

That is much more important to me than a local event that's probably not going to have the out of state competition I'm looking for. No offense, but I'd rather pay big money to play big names then a decent amount of money to play the same people I always play.

I think we'll have more out of state comp than you think. If it were a small Phoenix local I would understand your logic though. I don't have the Smash breakdown for last year, but across all games we had players from NorCal, SoCal, NY, FL, TX, NV, MI, NM, AZ, Canada, and Korea just off the top of my head.

If the entry fee now is considered a "decent amount" I'd hate to have you show up, see a good amount of out of state comp and then have to pay the day off entry fee. Again, I do understand your point, and it is a valid one. At the very least I'll try to find a breakdown of last year's Smash entries.

Going from trends of expressed interest from out of state people I've talked to, it doesn't look like the smash turn out is going to be super huge. I know you guys pull big numbers for all the other events, but I wouldn't be interested in entering anything but the smash events and possibly TvC or Third Strike. I've heard this tourney is a blast and I'm totally cool with just watching/chilling even if the competition would be major. I just simply won't have the funds to do anything but watch regardless considering all the traveling I'll be doing to MLG events this year unless I hit money at MLG or the National in Midwest.

I got money down on Dekar. He's going to win with Falcon.

I also really want to see Razer at this. I want to see that kid in action cause his playstyle intrigues me. lol

I want two Falcon Helmets. One regular one, and a Pink one.

are you guys serious?

well, just so you know, the helmets i use to make them are not cheap, plus they're hard to find (cuz they've been discontinued for like, 2 years)

they're like, 35 bucks + paint (about 10ish) and other materials + labor = 60 bucks turns out that these got even HARDER to find, meaning that the helmets are like, 45-50 bucks alone + stuff/labor = 70-75 bucks

if you guys really DO want them, my mom's gonna want payment in advance.

i've sold them before to Wobbles (for his friend) and to Tommy der Meister. I won't scam you.

p.s.

Official pot announcements will be made next Friday (subject to change). I would expect all prior assumptions to simply be confirmed, but it may get higher. Stay tuned...
