Forum Mafia and Epic Mafia are completely different hybrids. I should know this better as my first game didn't go too well trying to apply the same strategies that I (previously) used in EM. A main thing you really want to do is focus on asserting your logic and being cooperative, among active. Some players pick the game up easier and some struggle. I was one of them; the game I linked was really embarrassing. Definitely take Gheb's advice on looking up some games in the archive. Forum Mafia isn't for everyone either, so don't feel discouraged if you can't get into it.

Also pri sure Soup played a game or two before Dissidia because I remember thinking (no offense soup you've changed) that I might not let Soup join because he liked to gambit a bunch and played badly.
