ya, shiz kinda blew it. There was a time during his 2nd to last stock where he coulda daired on the platform, but he baired instead and m2k chaingrabbed him to ken combo. Coulda made a difference... He also shouldn't have challenged M2K on the edge at the end. He's too good at gimping

Why does everyone have to hate on M2K?
IMO, people just like shiz better because hes somewhat of an underdog and falco's combos look badass.

i was so certain that the set was going to be taken to the 5th game, and even more so after shiz's 3 stock lead..

when mew2king was chaingrabbing on the platform i was like, oh no ****ing way

and then the last stock i was just jaw droppingly amazed. i was not expecting it at all

man this must have been awesome to see live

man this is the best set Ive ever seen. dsw's lasers to upsmashes were fantastic.


who put m2k in the losers bracket lol???

was mango at this tourney or something?

i hate shiz for having the 4th match won, but he ruined it by going to the edge trying to beat m2k on there, it doesnt happen.

why shiz, WHY!?!

this is what he said about Mango beating him this weekend:

Hopefully I will get my tech skill back that Brawl stole from me and put up a good rematch at Genesis and give you a real match. I know I can play way better than I did and you deserve a good match not that joke of a fight that I gave you, and I hope you don't get the wrong impression of me from our matches, although you probably woulda won anyway. We should do that 26 character ditto sometime and get more friendlies in. You're pretty fun to play in friendlies esp with the random funny comments."

This was incredibly tragic =/ I really wanted both players to win. I am a huge M2K fan, and truthfully almost quit melee after I couldn't make it to OC3, but didn't because of the inspiration from not only M2K, but Shiz as well. I really wanted to see M2K vs Mango in grand finals, but at the same time I wanted to see Shiz finally take that last step we all know he can take, and beat M2K to go on and play Mango.

The two matches were minutes apart. If Shiz had won on YS in Match 4, and somehow went on to win match 5? Might have been the same statement, but instead to Shiz and not Mango.

But you can see in this set that m2k wasn't totally on point with his tech in comparison to some of the older sets. Just looking at his marth in games 3 and 4, you can see a lot of errors that m2k isn't really known for.

Just going through the games quickly
Game 3:
-0:22 ftilt lol?
-0:26 whiffed grab
-1:04 whiffed grab
-1:32 dash attack?

Game 4:
-0:53 dat fair spacing...
-1:38 he had shiz, but couldn't finish the job...

I'm not saying everybody has to be perfect, nor am I saying the games weren't hype, but if you get a nickname (and made fun of :p) for being a robot who doesn't make mistakes, then you shouldn't make them.

Ggs m2k, and good **** Shiz.

personally i don't think "The Robot" is a fair nickname for M2K because it makes him pressured to live up to something that he can't because he also plays Brawl.

yeah u should invest in some sound proof head phones if you don't want people screaming and ****, also helps you calm down.

shiz would you consider you playing m2k so much on the ledge an act of impulse nervousness? or did you simply make a mistake.

I just wanted him dead lol, i know against m2k I usually keep my space away from him when he's next to the ledge. But i thought the moves i did would connect.

I wanna see my matches vs Chudat and PC. I was surprised with those myself... lol.

I kinda expected that outcome against M2K.

I also really wanted to play mango lol. he's an awesome guy and is really fun to play.

Yeah, what you did was impressive.

i'm frustrated for you because you were doing so well then you just happened to get gimped by misreading m2k, you read the wrong book lol.

oh well congrats on 3rd place, your making quite the statement placing 3rd twice with the best around regardless if they have been playing as much. You can do better than that and i'm sure you know it.

Shiz all I have to say is you did a great job against m2k.
And that first sick combo you landed on him should be called the shiz combo.

Good ****..And I want to see these tourney results as well as the other vids.

I feel bad for Shiz, he would do much better vs Mango than m2k. Those gimps... ah, and he should've tried Falco when m2k picked FD, even tho m2k would probably have went Sheik.

for those that misunderstand, my tech skill is fine with marth and sheik, but it's no longer good with fox. I can't beat puff without fox, that's why I basically gave up. Genesis I promise to [hopefully] be good with him again

another thing, in my FD match with Shiz vs his fox, when I did up throw Fair to Bair to grab but barely missed the grab, I was going to finish with F throw to Dair. If I was 1 frame faster I would have gotten it, and I wanted to make sure I was at the very edge when I did it

lol I think everyone who saw that match was like Dayummmm that would have been the nicest combo ever.
