Daisho is this happening for certain or does religious nonsense have a chance at interfering?
It has 0% chance of interfering. Sabbath ends at 5:28 exactly and it can't end later.

Making people drive over an hour and have this as their plans is completely unacceptable and I will do all in my power to assure this tournament proceeds normally.

I didn't know they knew about electricity in the Old Testament.
WARNING... RANDOM JEWISH HISTORY LESSON BELOW

Most of the laws that modern orthodox Jews follow (the group I am a part of) are based off of the oral torah. This is a torah given to moses at mount sinai who then proceeded to share it orally throughout the generation.
In the times of the Romans the Jewish religion had a chance of becoming extinct so the Rabbis decided to write it down. This is called the "Mishnah".
A few hundred years later it was expanded on to include many opinions and arguments. It is extremely disorganized and it is in aramaic so it is difficult to understand. This is called the "Gemara" or "Talmud"
The next 1500 years (and expanding) is spent commentating on the gemara and trying to find specific rules and laws.

Today for issues such as can electricity be used on the sabbath we have to use analogical reasoning. There are 39 specific things that are banned by the oral law.
There are a few where it might fall under [Creating (a circuit), Finishing something (a circuit)] but there are arguments against. The final reasoning of the most lenient opinion is that if electricity is allowed then people will think all types (such as lightbulbs) can be done and that is not okay (lightbulbs use fire which is one of the 39 prohibited activities)...

Ok so your religion forbids you from doing something on Saturday...why? It's like still not eating pork. Pork can easily kill you if it's not cooked properly or stored properly, and that's why it was banned by some religions. That reason no longer exists, so not eating it based on religion is silly at this point. Just one example. I just don't get why someone would ever let religion hinder them like that/this. >_>;

That is around where I get confused about the religion also... I can give you possible reasons but none that are satisfactory for me.

Judaism prohibits the consumption of animals who don't chew their cud AND have split hooves. We don't like Pigs alot because they are tricky... they are the only animal to have split hooves but not chew its cud.

It seems like your parents force it upon you. How sad. :(

Who cares about whether hooves are split or not? Wtf...
That wasn't an example of one of the reasons, that was just the reason why Judaism hates pigs.

And soon I will be able to choose my own religious beliefs. But I figure as long as I live with them (next year, off to college!) I should follow them.

I think following the same religion as your parents is a solid price to pay for them putting a roof over your head. It really sucks **** that it interferes so hard with your hobby of choice, though. It's kinda hard to explain to people who have followed a set of beliefs for their entire lives that they're being unreasonable, especially so you can play a video game because of it.

Oh well, at least you're free in a few months.

Good news... I finally figured out the SD without homebrew hack that will give me just infinite replay and tags in replay. That means that I can record videos.

Winners finals Grand finals and Losers finals will be recorded (singles and doubles).

All other matches will be 1 dollar a match (if you both want it then only 50 cents each) if you want it recorded (takes a lot of time and is annoying to record matches). (Except Cable's matches, I want them so they are free :) ).

So basically if you want your match recorded then let me know and either you will play on my wii or take my SD card and save it to that.

Also, to whoever is bringing a wii, would you be against deleting custom stages and running Gecko through stage builder? Because then we can have infinite replay there also.

Btw my Wii isn't hacked if that's what you're looking for. But since we have a lot of wii's anyway I don't think it matters. Although more people need to bring TV's. Also I wouldn't be against getting my custom stages getting hacked.

Btw iKon want to team? lol it's ok if you don't and team with somebody else. I've gotten rusty.

Would anybody want to $3 MM? I heard this was the minimum amount to get people to try.

That is the beauty of the SD code, you don't even need to have the homebrew channel to run hacks.

A couple of people did mention they were bringing setups but have not confirmed that they are brigning full setups yet.

Pride and Kid you are bringing full setups?

It has to be at least $5. I know you can get another dollar lol. And only best of 3. I don't feel like uploading a whole best of 5. But if you really want best of 5 then I'll do it for $10.
Do you wanna mm again? I'd agree to a normal one, Sonic vs MK exclusive, or Diddy vs MK or Rob exclusive.

Okay, so I'm going to run doubles and then when that thins out singles will start.

We will have 5 setups in the main room and then 1 or 2 in the other room. The main room will be tournament and the other friendlies.

Question, what is the favorable payout?

56:28:14:2?

That way First has 2X second and second has 2x third... then there are two extra so why not give it to fourth?
