Curious about marths top 3 moves to use...

so would marth's top moves be fair/dtilt/dancing blade? or would it be fair/dancing blade/up B?

since marth is my 2ndary i'm pretty curious which 3 moves ppl use more, then up B or dtilt. Cause I find myself hardly ever using dtilt for some reason =/ I prefer to use nair then any of marths tilts... It's probably a bad habbit though

but some marth's prefer that they use fair/nair/Dancing blade while others prefer fair/Dtilt/Dancing...

It depends but I prefer just using fair/nair/DB, rarely finding myself ever using marth's tilts cause I feel safer using those 3 moves to avoid getting punished... I feel like if I use any of marth's tilts i'll just get shield grabbed or something.

how do you guys feel about this situation? I know theres probably been another topic similar to this, but which top 3 moves you think a marth should always pay attention too?

fair and Dancing Blade are almost definately the top two
then it depends on preference, but i don't think many people would have Dolphin Slash top three except in certain matchups
dtilt is a good move for poking and comboing, but most marths prefer to attack from the air (except when using Dancing Blade) so depending on you style you might not get many good situations to dtilt
nair has good range and a powerful tip but i find it outclassed by fair in many ways (except duration of hitbox) and the style of hitbox makes it a bit harder to hit grounded opponents

use whatever suits your style, personally i use uair/utilt/grab more than these moves but i'm weird/i suck in that way

Onstage - Fair, DB, Dtilt
Offstage - Fair, Bair, UpB
Air - Fair, Uair, Nair

However, there's always personal preference.

I think d tilt is overrated, it had good follow ups but it lacks range and it has some start up lag ( compared to marths other moves ), still its a pretty good move
My top 3 would be

Fair,
DB
Up b

dtilt is highly underrated in modern marth metagame for some reason despite the fact that it's the move that most consistently leads into DB, pokes through low shields, acts as an extremely strong ledge pressure tool and is a relatively safe poke

Dtilt/DB/Fair

Up-B is a good punisher and planking move, but other than that, its really predictable and easy to be punished back.

So I say F-Air, DB, and D-Tilt.

Pro Marth couldn't survive against many match ups without DB.

I'll also mention the obvious fact that viet should add 'ious' to the end of his words from time to time. Especially the ones that start with 'obv'.

IMO, the most useful overall are fair, dtilt, and DB.

It is pretty MU dependent, but overall those are probably his best moves. Fair and Dtilt are very safe when perfectly spaced, and DB is his best punishing move.

All three are too good.

i think marths best moves are as follows
1.counter (down b) this move has saved me lots of times
2.the side-b special this move can cause high damage short combos if used right (i.e red, red, green or red, green, then use smash ball does around 85%
3.forward a smash (or final smash when smash ball is enabled for the one-hit kill) the forward a smash can either finish off opponents or edge-guard well

Yep, Smash Balls are EVERYWHERE. Cant go to a tourney without Smash Balls on.

My advice to you sir is to lurk more, read all the guide you can and watch as many vids as you can. That way, you wont post any ******** stuff like that.
