Edit Again: Oh, silly me, I forgot that there isn't an actual code out yet for changing the character/icon associations. I guess I'll release that next I get the chance.:upsidedown:

Hmm... So I've done a bit of tooling around and it looks like adding CSPs is fully within the realm of possibility - what with the advent of Riivolution and not having to worry about file sizes. The only thing stopping me at the moment is the fact that you can't add/remove/modify the string collections in the AnmTexPat files (yes, the images are simply part of a texture animation in which the corresponding frame is set for whichever image needs to be displayed) Once I find the right file, it should also be possible to modify the icon/character relations via file replacement instead of codes.

Nice! Good stuff to know.

Should I take this as actual definite confirmation that Riivolution solves filesize problems? Because I have seen Bionic Sonic state that it does, and then alter his position and state that it does not.

I think many would prefer a fix to turning players off soon as possible. Custom CSS seems almost pointless when I bring it to tourneys when I have to tell people to unplug their controllers during friendlies to turn the player off.

-The layout that you decide is the layout that will get used for the corresponding number of icons. That being said, if you decide to change the number of icons in your CSS you'll have to find a way to transfer the positions over to the new layout (use BrawlBox)
And how is this done may i ask?

Yes, after Saving the CSS, I opened it in BrawlBox and got rid of the keyframes except for the 41th frame. And I still got this result. How could this be, what is the answer to this?

I also know that ZSS and Sheik/Zelda alone are not there, could that be a reason?

You set the 41-character CSS, but you don't have the code that adds the extra 3 characters, so you're seeing one of the frames that you deleted and was automatically regenerated from random.

tl;dr, go and set the 39 layout, or find a code that gives you 41 characters on the CSS.

Okay I'm having some trouble with getting the CSPs to work. I'm currently trying to put the CSPs into the .pac from the CSS organizer, but when i try to replace it within the .pac it's not changing. Any help?


EDIT: I figured it out. I just had too many brawlboxes opened and was doing things to the wrong .pac =P

How do you set icons to appear behind other icons? (It's an odd question, but I really need to know)

I tried messing around with it's Z-value, but no luck.

Does this program not allow the user to add selectable characters that aren't available in the loaded sc_selcharacter.pac? For example, I'm trying to add Zamus and Sheik to my character selection screen, but they weren't included in the pac I loaded. Is there a possible way to add them? I noticed pos 37-50 are empty, so I tried changing the face, but then I can't change any of the settings and make them selectable.

EDIT: Is it even possible to load Zamus, Sheik, and the separate Pokemon into this editor?

Yeah, but how do you do it? I even tried opening a pac that did include Sheik and Zamus, but they didn't seem to be present, and if they were, I couldn't tell which objects were Sheik and Zamus. There were a few dark icons that didn't show any characters, but how am I supposed to know what they represent?

Add those codes to your .gct for Brawl, then open up your CSS using the editor. That should put the ZSS and Sheik icons on the CSS for you

Oh, okay, thanks. :) So the GCT file and the pac have to be on the same drive, correct? I've been loading both the program and the pac from my flash drive.

EDIT: I tried that, and no results. The program is not loading anything from the .gct file. How exactly do I get Sheik, ZSS, and the individual Pokemon in the editor?

EDIT 2: Never mind, I found it. All I had to do was increase the number of icons in the layout. Silly me.

Can anyone tell me how this program affects the slot IDs of the selection portraits?

Im trying to use this with Almas's file replacement code, but it seems to screw with it

Go to the MenSelchrPos_TopN animation, find the frame that has your custom design, and delete every frame except for that one. Then change the total number of frames in the animation to 51.

But how do I know which frame is the custom design? Is it MenSelchrPos_TopN? Am I supposed to delete the frames titled cpos 1-6 and pos 1-50?


Okay, I went to the 3D Model editor in BrawlBox with MenSelchrPos_TopN opened (I double-check and made sure I had the right path), but it's not at all obvious to me which frame is the one I shouldn't delete.

EDIT: Frame 51 looks legit. Is that usually which one is used?

@PhantomWings: Is it not possible to include a feature in the CSS Editor that automatically deletes the unused keyframes?

EDIT 2: Uh... I keep accidentally deleting the frame that looks like my CSS... I can't tell which frame I'm going to delete before I delete it.

Look at frame 0 to see if that's your css
anyway seeing since this is one of the few programs i really don't get i was wondering so i make the portraits to liking then i make a custom css code for it right?
