This is game is KINDA REALLY fun once you get over the small learning curve. I love how the stealth invisibility and armor seem balanced so far. Only bad thing so far is weird sluggish aiming? Idk how to describe it

I think it's minor hitlag or something. Hopefully that can be fixed.

I think I'm still trying to "learn" the game. I need to go into Armor mode more often when I get into a firefight, though sometimes I don't feel it does anything while other times I'm a tank and take someone down easily. :/

this thread makes me feel like playing crysis 1.

I picked up the crysis value pack on steam over the summer.

I didn't really dig the multiplayer as much; mainly because it got laggy with a full game due to the game's graphics requirements ****** my video card(even on low) on top of online play. Also some of the maps were unnecessarily big. Thats fun sometimes, but I don't want to to run for 10 minutes every game to find someone to shoot.

That being said, I enjoyed the campaign mode very much, and I plan to pick this one up on steam when its released.

If there is enough demand I can make this a Crysis 1/2 thread. I myself didn't play Crysis 1 but I'm gonna give Crysis 2 a try, looks interesting and it's someting new for me.

Plus I was planning to put more details about Crysis 2 in the OP at some point.....

I hit level 10 today, also got the game today lol. The learning curve can be punishing if you've played Cod because you expect to do great.

I love the Scar with the silencer and holo-dot.

Aim for the head, headshots aren't a one hit kill thing but they drastically change encounters.

I'm done with the demo for now. Earlier all I would run into are people abusing the one-hit kill melee system by using stealth and sprinting up to you.

And I swear the hit detection is way off or something......

Well the day it released it was pretty fun, despite a few problems here and there. Now it's just people abusing the system.

The invisibility isn't even the biggest problem since it's not perfect. It's the melee system. Most of the time I'll see someone the instant they're about to hit me even in cloak mode, and for the most part can't do anything about it.

Yes.

I did see an aim assist option in the Options menu but it didn't feel like it worked. :/
Dude, it's a console shooter. Aim assist is always on for us because controllers are less accurate/responsive than a mouse + keyboard.

And this demo is coming out to the PC as well. (Not sure when tho.)

The cloak melee just makes you be more aware of your surroundings.
Every COD game is one dimensional. All you have to do is run around, shoot, and reload. There are never any boundaries that you have to worry about.
In Crysis, however, you need to learn how to use your NANOVISION. I turn it on and off really fast. Until people learn how to do that, it won't change from the invisimelee fest that it is right now.

This game has much more potential than any other game I've ever played. I'm going to pick it up as soon as I can.

Also, Lightmachineguntanking with maximum armor is sexy.

It's still taking a while to download? I assumed they would have fixed that by now.

Yes.

My demo downloaded faster than WaW, both of the Army of Two games, Bulletstorm, and mass effect 2.
I am on a wireless connection from downstairs, across the house.
I dunno why everyone is having trouble.

It's possible that a lot of people are still trying to download the Bulletstorm and/or Crysis 2 demos off XBL. I know they were reporting problems earlier this week.

No what I was saying is, I saw that aim assist was on, but it did not feel like there was any aim assist function helping me when I aimed at someone.

Thats because It only kicks in when you're shooting or ADS.
You can't abuse it to know when people are coming around corners like in Black Ops.
Also, When it does occur, it doesn't do it without you touching the right stick, so it is aim assist, not auto aim.

Ah, my bad.

Just go to your 'console settings' and turn on the option which allows downloading when the console is off.

What I do:

1. Start the download
2. Play another game (you can still play arcade games but if you try to play a non-arcade game, the download will stop)
3. When I'm done playing, I then log off + turn off 360 console
4. The download continues (flashes in the front of the 360 console to let you know this.)

Hope this helps!

I'm probably going to pick it up tomorrow.Everybody I know who has the game says it's amazing.
It looks like it might be one of the better shooters this year.

Anyone else plan on picking it up any time soon?

I might try to pick it up soon. I think they did fix the melee system from what I saw in a video (thought I saw a 2-hit melee kill)
THANK GOD! (Hey Thunder, remember when people ran around with their pistols and melee'd you in your face for a OHKO?)

Seems like only complaint going back to the beta is that apparently the stealth power with sniper is a bit more advantageous compared to the other powers in Multiplayer.

I just picked this up.

Haven't had the chance to play it much as i'm trying to finish up the 1000/1000 on de Blob.
I've played a few Multiplayer games so far and i'm liking it a lot. It's almost exactly like the Beta. The sniper+ Invisibility is still a little overpowered but anyone who played the beta is probably use to it.
Also the spawn **** is pretty bad sometimes.

In any match I've played the teams just spawn in the same place. Which can sometimes lead to get ***** by grenades or being instantly sniped.

Bumpity bump bump. Anyone still play this? I finally played through the campaign since I got my computer.

Delicious eye candy and good gameplay, but after that I'm borderline outraged at this game. Loved the story in Crysis 1, then they go and do this:

SPOILER ALERT IF YOU HAVENT PLAYED THE GAMES

Crysis

These aliens lived in a zero g environment and fought in many different robotic vehicles, with the main one being the flying one with tentacles. In addition, their main ability was to make the surrounding environment uninhabitable by freezing everything solid(You could survive because of your nanosuit). Not to mention all their vehicles were unique.

Meanwhile....crysis2...(These are supposed to be the same guys.....)

Only special power they got is they are able to release a spore virus that can infect and kill humans(This wasn't in the first game either). Literally the only similarity is that they are both based underground. The only vehicle they get is......a chicken tank walker thingy?

They also left the crysis1 cliffhanger unexplained. Aliens are ******** now and it might as well be a different game. Lastly, at the end of crysis you see hordes of seph pouring out across the world, simply not ever mentioned either. ****ed this entire game's story up, just to accomodate consoles. I LOVED the alien design in crysis 1 and their weaponry.

Then there's the final boss fight in both games. Crysis one your fighting the giant alien warship. Crysis 2? 4 cloaked guys that, on the hardest difficulty, let me sneak up and kill 2 of them with stealth kills, then the other two were just a matter of pressing Q to holding left click. Such fail.

/Rant. Don't think I'll be getting Crysis 3 if its made; they completely ruined it for me.

I ended up not buying the game. At the time I didn't feel like spending $60 in general and the MP demo had me too frustrated for various reasons.

My friend got it though and I watched him play through campaign. I can most likely borrow it anytime if I ever wanted to play it (which I would do for multiplayer since I've already seen campaign played through).

According to my friend you can just stealth your way through the whole campaign on the hardest difficulty lol

Not the whole campaign. Honestly I was able to stealth through way more of crysis 1. Crysis 2 is a lot more linear and you have to engage a lot more. Although a lot of times you can fight through an area with stealth kills and silencer headshots and not be detected. In Crysis 1 I could stealth around completely without engaging at all.
