cool stuff but you spend to much time moonwalking and unuseful techs. But it's cool to be flashy and junk but remember the basics

fun vid to watch and the guy is really technical and has a cool playstyle

but he missed more wavelands in that vid alone than jeff misses in an entire set.

no disrespect to him of course, we cant all be SS.

he missed an l-cancel like 2 seconds in so i stopped watching

not impressed, that ain't jeff
From 1:23 he's consistent, but remember, this was the first match of the fest, everyone heard about the JeapRape, and he was pretty nervous. Just watch it and then give your opinion, and remember I wasn't talking about the most technicly perfect, most consistent or whataver, i was talking about the fastest. And yeah L-cancelling is needed for pacing up yadayadayadyada I'm pretty aware of that.

If you still think he's slower give me a couple of examples.

It's not me, and secondly this wasn't posted to show extreme skills metagame wise, just the flashy pooha!

The first stock the ganon kinda watched him do all this flashy stuff, loled and grabbed him around 4 times.

he has the usual bag of tricks falcon has on that stage

but doesn't really have the best execution on pulling them off

and overall some sloppiness l-cancelling, letting go of the shield rather than wavedashing/jumping out. The fastest falcon in the world isn't sloppy

if you are trying to make a point of some random dude trying to be the fastest falcon in the world you should get a better vid, not one on yoshi's story and where he's messing up

Just check out what the hell he is going for most of time, this is stuff I've never seen any world top player try to use it in a match. This is why they almost never fail, they have insane tech skill, but more importantly, they always go safe. What Jeapie is doing here is never shown on a youtube movie, if so, link me. And not zelgadis.

It's a simple risk/reward system, why go for the ridiculous waveland to dropzone knee where he accidentily smashes just at the side of the platform when a perfectly fine edgehog would suffice? CAUSE OF THE SAKE OF IT. I'm not saying this is the best falcon in the world, just the fastest. I've never ever seen a falcon which has such a high paces bag of tricks inherited into the basic playstyle of any falcon. When he plays save he never misses his knee-jab pressure on your shield, and if your unlucky and don't roll or time your roll in the shieldstun your toast.

Not really comparable to SS. He's a really good falcon I see but i didn't see anything new or astonishing, or abnormally fast for that matter.

runoff jump backwards waveland backwards to knee is REALLY easy, practice a few times and you'll always get it

it's not ridiculous at all

and those falcon techs, while flashy to non falcon mains, are not that special to falcon mains who practiced that stuff and realize how UNBROKEN it is.

and he's just ****** some ganon who has crappy reaction time :(

he isn't juking the crap out of a person he just does a waveland knee and the ganon has a million seconds to react but just sits there

Yeah ok, the Ganon was kind off stoned, but still not a bad Ganon. Just not used to so much movement.

As to whether SS is better, it's not even a question, SS most definitly is. It's just I've never seen a Falcon do so much insane tricks in a row and as if it's normal. I just think Jeapie's playstyle is how Falcon would have wanted it :p. Just soo **** fast.

He got shieldgrabbed the first stock more than jeff does in like 3 sets, and he got Up-B'd twice in 7 seconds apart.
It doesnt matter how fast and flashy he is if a ganon can shield grab him and not get 0-deathed by him. Trying to shieldgrabJeff is like an insult, cause its not possible.
Missing the L cancel on his second aerial of the match was kinda sad
The second stock was really sexy, but i think it was more the ganon's fault, and then he just halo-dropped into a back air and killed him when he was being flashy, like wtf?

lol guaranteed this falcon would be gettin mad love right now if you hadn't made the title silentspectre eat your heart out.

even if you had posted a video of falcon clearly 10 times better than jeff youd probably still be getting the same reaction, he counterpicks with d&d dice.

but no on the real this falcon is def amazing, and I actually can't believe people are sleeping on it moonwalkledge cancel dair-uair to wall jump knee was ****ing incredible. very nice. also the walljump uairs of course

but also in general its not something that unique as alot of players, especially jeff can do all that fancy wavelanding platform cancelling type of stuff with falcon, and jeff has done things far more amazing, also its hard to tell from one match but I think when jeff is trying he is alot faster than this falcon.

, ill def be keepin an eye out for it though is he going to pound 4?

I've always been under the impression that 'fast' in Melee refers more to efficient execution of fast falls + L-cancels, dashing away after aerials, wasting no moves, etc. rather than straight up flash, which is a better description for moonwalks, wavelands and ledge cancels. Under this generalization, I think Darkrain and Scar are actually faster than SS. But for flash, nobody beats SS, not Jeapie, not anybody.

It was impressive.

But you made the wrong choice by calling out SS.

That would be like some technical falco calling out DaShizWiz.

If you wanted to make a thread showcasing a flash falcon, which he was, I was impressed and enjoyed watching the matches, then you should have done it whilst leaving SS out of the convo.

And as for all you guys hating, get off jeff's high horse that he doesn't even ride and juss admit that the falcon was at least mildly impressive.

I've watched plenty a falcon match and enjoyed them much less than watching this one.

Haha, true, it was just made for fun, but somehow people tend to go ballistic when someone is compared to another. It at least got some attention. Even Amsah said to him on ZEST3 that his Falcon was the coming to life of the character itself :p (and no, he never made any comparison to SS or whomever for all the hurt fanboys around here).

Maybe SS is capable of doing this to lesser skilled players then him, but all the massive rapeages of him against others have never been with this much pooha. That's just IMHO, I'll update the video-list of all the 1on1's soon.

When someone shows me some matches of him doing this stuff, I'll be confinced. You should just hear the rattling of his controller, and his old controller is all screwed up, literally. The control-stick is completely tore down, and the way it feels is weird. In his opinion "It's chill to moonwalk with this thing". I can't even SHL or SHFFL with that thing :p!

Is there anyway I can change the title? Didn't mean to offend people or anything. Jeapie himself is an extremely modest guy, but it just cracks me up sometimes to see the JeapRape express getting off like this.

Still I believe he is one of the fastest Falcons around though, and not confinced that SS can pull this crazy **** of all the time without making some errors.

maybe if you had a better video sample of him vsing somebody better and not somebody with 3 second reaction time and Really West Coast DI

I enjoy the first match though, scar wall jump up-air to double jump knee offstage is too good

You can change the title by doing edit and advanced. I can do it as well if you want.

And everyone makes mistakes, I personally think Hax is probably the most technically fast Falcon in terms of precision and accuracy.

I'm gonna john for Jeapie here, he was playing before this match on a TV that had a little delay, so that's probably why he was missing some l-cancels & wavelands. Rian probably chose to showcase this match because it has some of the most ridiculous falcon stuff all in one stock (and he does this stuff in pretty much all his matches :p more will be uploaded soon on the same channel).

I like how his control stick is so ****ed up by his crazy *** movement, it actually cuts into your thumb xD

Already said you had to watch past the biggest part of the first stock. He came from another TV and first match of them ever. But whatever, it's off-topic what your saying here.
