In Revelation, it looked to me as if Ryoma was in love with Scarlet. And i see no reason why Flora can't support with Jakob.

There's some implications that Flora may of been in love with Jakob. Granted, they aren't that strong, but I'm not usually the type to read too far into these things.

That's kind of why I mentioned Flora and Scarlet specifically. The plot has some implied love - especially with Revelations Scarlet/Ryoma - that isn't reflected in supports.

The next FE game would be released in 2018-2019. That's just my prediction as historically, Fire Emblem games have been released 2 years apart, (1 year apart for the early ones). By that time, i feel that most of the Awakening fans would have already matured to where they feel that "waifus" aren't necessary. And just as the freshmen student will one day bash on the freshmen students when he's a senior, the Awakening fans will bash "insert new FE game here" and its fans because they have waifus. Because that's how the world works. The cycle has always been like that, and will continue to be like that.

All fandoms have their hostile sides, but the modern day FE fandom is a bit more hostile than most Nintendo fandoms I'm generally involved in.

Awakening newcomers are really used to the idea of "waifu emblem" - so much they a lot of them starting using the term lovingly even though it was originally used mockingly. Older FE fans - not so much. There's always been "waifus" in the FE fandom, but Awakening took it to the extremes by actively encouraging it and bringing in a bunch of new fans who play mostly for the "waifus". I'd say this divide in the fandom is almost comparable to the divide between Melee and Brawl.

Awakening actually was a lot like Brawl, now that I think about it, in that it did a really good job at appealing to more casual players and franchise newcomers, but meanwhile disappointed a lot of the more hardcore players in a lot of ways. As a result, it's got a ton of people who think it's a great game but a vocal minority who thinks it's garbage.

Dang, and here I thought it'd be the level 35 skill, but nope. That's for Toxic Brew, which has a skill x 1.5% chance to freeze an enemy in place. Yikes.

Yeah. Its really a shame too since, for a strategy game, Fire Emblem is one of the most unique series i have ever played.

I'd say this divide in the fandom is almost comparable to the divide between Melee and Brawl.

Ah yes, that was a thing. But didn't the Melee Brawl divide patch up after a few years? If it did, then maybe there will be a Fire Emblem game that patches up the two sides of the FE fandom. And it really needs to be a Sacred-Stones style game by having the ability to grind but also having more victory conditions than just "rout" and "defeat commander". If done right, it'll please both sides of the fanbase.

I think that's kind of what Fates was going for, actually.
As much as I criticize it, I still think Fates is an amazing game and a great first step to patching up the split fanbase - even if it did add even more controversial elements such as the FE Amie.

I have to say, the endgame was a lot easier than I thought it'd be. Only took me three turns. Ended up flanking Garon with Hana+Hayato (She made me sweat because Garon would've one shot her if he hit, but she dodged! Though it was a 14% hit rate, so...), then wearing him down further with Oboro+Kaden, then Corrin+Scarlet walked right up to him to deliver the finishing blow!

The ending was really satisfying overall. I figured they'd leave you feeling a little uneasy since you didn't take the best path, but it felt like an ending that can stand on its own despite leaving a couple questions unanswered.

Oh, and can I say either of those first two results/credits themes feel like something out of a movie?

So now...I really need to do something about my neck because the stabbing pain is starting to show up again. But after that...I can start Bravely Second.

Now that I look at them together, the resemblance is striking...

I also came up with a really good Fire Emblem Fates meme idea, one that would parody Takumi. This involves Fate/Stay Night spoilers, so proceed through this comment only if you watched ufotable's Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works adaptation or read the visual novel (you can also proceed if you're the kind of person who doesn't care about spoilers).

So you know the scene where Archer fights Caster the Unlimited Blade Works route, right? Well, remember the "arrow" scene where Archer uses his arrow to take down Caster from the sky? You can come up with the perfect Fates meme from that scene. Want a reference? Here's the video. It will link you to the 4 minute mark of the fight. Watch it until it reaches the 4:51 mark.

Put Takumi's face over Archer's, Male Corrin's over Shiro's face, and Camilla's face over Caster's (because Camilla can also use spells and fly due to her default class). Replace any mention of Caster's name with "Camilla." At the scene when he throws his swords, you can approach this in two ways: either put two halves of the Fujin Yumi over them or two Kodachis instead (Yes, Takumi can't use Kodachis unless he's a Swordmaster, so either you can either not care about that or put Hinata and Hana behind him if you care about being as accurate to the Fire Emblem games as possible).

When Archer readies his bow, you can either leave Archer's quote as is or place Takumi's critical quote, "Oh, that's it," complete with the Fire Emblem critical flash, over the screen (think of how the "Ryoma the Lifeguard" video incorporated Ryoma's critical animation in that Spongebob scene; similar idea here). When Archer says "Caladbolg," use Takumi's voice complete with the words "Die already," another one of his critical quotes, in that moment. Caster and Shiro's voices don't need any changing at any point in the fight; just the faces is the only thing needed to be changed.

Basically, the joke here is how OP Takumi is in Fates due to his bow. This would be like "Sponge Emblem: Ryoma the Lifeguard" except this would revolve around Takumi instead of Ryoma, as well as using a different show.

And when I watch that scene from UBW, it just makes the perfect meme! The nighttime setting complete with Camilla as Caster and Corrin as Shiro (who is hunted down by Caster in this scene similar to how Camilla hunts down Corrin) would be a perfect reference to Birthright Chapter 13.

Now the thing is, I don't have any movie editing software where I can pull this all off, so that's why I'm asking anyone here if anyone could try pulling this off. Seriously, if you manage to do so and upload it Youtube, I will guarantee you that the video will become as popular as some of the most popular Fates parodies being uploaded right now!

The Lodestar class inherently adds +10% to dodge just by virtue of being in the class (as well as 10% to hit and 5% to crit), so the added dodge from Veteran's Intuition, plus all the speed skills, pretty much would make him an unhittable dodge tank. Is such worth it to make Ryoma look kinda goofy?

Actually Veteran's Intuition gives critical evade not standard evade.
If I'm not wrong, "Avoid" stands for the standard evade and "Dodge" for the critical evade.

And Swordsmasters just so happen to have +10 Avoid and +10 Crit, so they'll actually dodge just as much and crit even more than the Lodestar class. Factor in Ryoma's personal skill and his ability to double so many enemies and he gets crits left and right.

I'd definitely say to keep him as a Swordsmaster.

Definitely imo, all the Lodestar skills are useful and they increase even more Ryoma's speed turning him into an extreme "glass evade cannon tank".

Eternal seals only raise the level cap by 5 levels.

You have to use multiple eternal seals. After a character hits level 25, you've got to use another to raise their stat cap to 30.

A combination of Eternal Seals and the golden statues in My Castle. I've got 3 golden statues that boost the cap on all of my units' Magic stats, which Ophelia benefited greatly from.

Ryoma's stats are good enough to make it hard to justify reclassing him into a lodestar. Dancing blade and speedtaker aren't really useful on Ryoma as they could be on other units because he already has very high speed. It's better to use it on someone who could really benefit from the speed boosts, like Silas or Xander, since the skills negate one of their biggest weakness, which is their middling speed.

Oh um.....your kinda too late. I followed Acker's advice to turn Ryoma into an "extreme class evade cannon tank". But hey, its not the end of the world. I'll be able to get more Hero's Brands once Wave 2 DLC comes out. Although, i'm just starting to realize that Takumi could've used that Speedtaker as he is a Ballistican, so he has low Speed (24). But again, i can wait.
