I was there, but that doesn't mean Bill doesn't have an excellent point
It was a great experience being there because of the people, the energy, and R2D2, but Bill's point is dead on.
That, and they needed more speakers/jumbotrons.
Still enjoyed the spirit of the event.

Yesterday was probably my biggest smash victory.
I went to a Brawl Tournament, and I played as best as I could.
So I 3 stocked everyone until finals, when I 1 or 2 stocked Reggie, who is evidently from CT and remembers me 3 stocking him consistently at some CTCon event. *shrug*
Anyways, I scored a chill $16. Then I made a cool ladyfriend out of the TO. Good times.

mlg is ridiculous right now. tekken 6 made no sense, but kor was a ****** and kept the koreans out of finals. go texas! he got 2nd though
SC2 upsets were almost as ridiculous. meanwhile halo is really by the book. and brawl...wtf @ sonics winning half their games by time out. stalling needs to start being defined in rulesets. but gnes might win the whole thing, to which i again say GO TEXAS :D

TL;DR = Guy went to a Vintage (Type 1) MTG tournament in Philly, played the "Chandra vs Jace" Jace Pro-constructed deck that you can buy in a Walmart or some ****, gave it a 15-card semi-broken but not too beast sideboard, and WON THE GORRAM TOURNAMENT.
To all you haters on Vintage magic as being impenetrable to people without Power 9... eat a diiiiiiiiiick.
