That's why I love Melee. The characters don't really matter, just the players 
no johns and spacies vs. marf is even, it just looks lopsided cause M2K is better than non-Mang0 spacies.

talent. some kids just have it. he's also young and can learn quicker due to it. he also got into the game late enough to avoid developing bad habits back when they worked.

I never really thought about this but you're totally right. I think someone with natural talent and smarts coming into the game at this stage surrounded by a strong community would progress much quicker than others. All of which Mango had.
take Scar for instance. when he got into the game, he was playing Cactuar every day. do you know how much that helps you to not do stupid things? hint: it's a lot, getting 4 stocked over and over for always spot dodging after techs gets boring, FAST.
Believe it or not but I was the one 4 stocking Cactus so he could learn not to be an idiot. Then he went to FC 6 and decided he was going to obliterate every one.

I wish I could go....me got to work all weekend from Fri-Sun.
But I be making like 600 smacks with SPAWN and Aesir.
I won't be going to tournaments much this summer but I think im going to play PC and SPAWN at least once a week this summer so hopefully I'll get better at this Melee game. I also picked up Falcon and Marc has already told me he noticed a huge improvement in my C Falc. yay.
I now pretty much use Roy, Falco, (even though mine sucks...hes still fun for me.) Falcon, and will always main Marth. I also am thinking about working on a Jigglypuff. I gave up on Ice Climbers. LOL.

I'm seeing that tonight at 10:10 with people. I've heard it has Mike Tyson in it? LOL.The Hangover is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. Such a great surprise, it's ****ing hilarious. I'm serious, you will be shocked at how funny it is. It's one of my favorite comedies now
I liked UP...but it was an epic fail compared to everything else Pixar made. Pixar has been getting so emo lately and basically losing their humorous touch IMO. I still <3 Pixar soooo much but thank god Toy Story III is coming out to uplift my spirit again. That movie is going to be so good. I thought the teaser trailer was even hilarious. Some of the people in there do not deserve to be there but the same could be said about MODS. Some of the mods on this site do not do their job. I won't say names.
No offence but a majority of the SBR users are high level players with an immense amount of experience and all around knowledge of the Brawl competitive scene as a whole. You on the other hand do not go to tournaments as frequently anymore, place equal to...lower..and sometimes 1-2 places higher than I do, (We are about even to be fair and unbiased) and I think your only truly strong character is Snake. If running a circuit is all you have to do to become a SBR, sign me up.
Also, how did OWM get into the back room? I always wondered that.

>_> Poffy, you have a hard enough time running a single tournament, whereas Jake here runs entire circuits, a good 5+ tournaments, setting up a site, getting sponsors, advertising, having a good rep, making sure the tournaments run smoothly, and probably even more goes into what Jake and the rest of the ECRC people do. As nice as it would be for the SBR to be all high level players, the fact is they're not, and they need to address not only the game but the community itself.
