OMG Rob went down. I guess if you complain about your character enough BBR listens?

It isn't that simple. Although "stinkin thinkin" plays a part. Also sedentary ROB mains. In addition. There aren't any really good ROB mains. MKs have M2k. Marths have MikeHaze. Diddys have ADHD, Falcos have SK92 and DEHF. Its interesting. Fiction seems to be inactive and Wario falls. ROB boards in general are not productive for whatever reasons(and ROB falls.)
Also what makes it worse is that two of the best ROB mains...Holynightmare and Overswarm now use MK.
So yes complaining about ROB did help create the mindset of inaction. But it isn't all to blame.

If I interpreted the "total" for each character correctly, Sagat was never double the second highest character unlike Metaknight.

I completely know that MK isn't his own tier, broken, or bannable, but if everyone complains about him so much, it makes him SOOOO uncomfortable to play. Do you understand the pressure on you to win with this supposedly god character? If anyone loses to an MK, it's because it's MK, but if an MK loses to any other character, they were severely out-played, the MK sucks, or anything like that.

Playing a character who is supposedly in his own god tier is one of the most depressing thoughts I could think of. I think you know what that means.

I agree MK is insanely good. But still not good enough to have his own tier(Sort of gives premise to MK only tourneys imo)

But maybe what you said is that intention. Make it hard for MK mains by giving them greater than broken expectations to live up to. Making people: Quit MK because of the pressure, to pursue a character not on a pedestal. Or make MK mains feel less accomplished so that MK mains will use someone else.

I've made so many G&W's quit, it's not even funny... Hylian, OmegaBlackMage, Slikvik, Valdens, LeePuff, PGN, and myself.

By quit do you mean still go and play in tournaments? Or is it just doubles?

I thought you would've noticed that 2df players aren't as excessive in their matchup numbers as smash players, and that's why sagat isn't double the lower characters. In actuality, at top level play a Dan player will not beat a Sagat 3 out of 10 times. Dan doesn't have as much of a chance at beating Sagat as Zangief.

But if you're going to let a bunch of people complaining about your character stop you from playing it, then by all means go ahead. If it's too much pressure, just drop him. I mean, maybe you're making this up in your head, and maybe some of us think you're good, and we think other mk players are good. But we also think mk is the best, enough to notice.

Quit as in, they don't play G&W anymore.

I, on the other hand, still play G&W... but in doubles only. Doubles is fun for me, singles is not. Plus I don't travel to OoC tourneys anymore... except probably No Koast and Whobo

Also, I'm pretty sure when I'm talking about MK and everyone else is, we're talking about different characters. I'm talking about this really good character by design, and they're talking about this really good character by design that is also the best at gaying up this games (stalling, planking, scrooging, Tornado camping)
Hell, if it wasn't for that, Metaknight might not even be #1. Unfortunately, the two characters cannot be separated, so those of us just playing the game with him have to be grouped into the ones timing out...

Maybe I just haven't been playing MK right. I'll try to learn him "correctly" to see if it changes my mind.

Also, I just found out that the BBR used absolutely no restrictions when making this. There was no edgegrab limit, planking limit, or scrooging limit.

I'd put MK into his own tier with these rules as well. Makes more sense now I guess.

dylan, the only reason lucario ended up 15th on the third list is because at that time no one really repped lucario well besides Azen and Azen had just quit, and lucario ranked 18th in rep. Lucario now ranks 10th in rep due to swarm of newcarios. Thus the change.
