Actually in japan high school students often omit particles and such from speech because it is "cool" same with speaking informally.

I'll vouch for Detta being legit. Got to watch/play him in the NDK tourny ("tourny" ;P). Plays a mean zone game with ROB and doesn't afraid of anything. I haven't seen his 1v1, but I'm gonna assume it's just as solid.
