1 was OK, but it's easy to get caught up in tarantino's pompousness D:

whenever I watch either of the kill bill movies it seems like quentin tarantino is just constantly saying "THIS IS A FILM" at me. the story, the music, the dramatic elements, etc. it all just is a little too much

it's like someone painted their room green and you're like wow, this room is very green o_0

Oh. I'd chalk that up to him, especially in Kill Bill, making his movies as his version of a "____ movie" [Spaghetti Western, Kung Fu flick, etc].

I've never felt like his movies were pretentious like that. If you think that about Quentin Tarantino, I wonder what you would think about a Paul Thomas Anderson movie...

District 9 was pretty good. I feel like it's just short of being great, and I can't pinpoint why. I just feel like I'm not likely to watch this again anytime soon.
