I'd bet money on the friend code thing. Its really meant to protect little kids, there hearts are in the right place but it is pretty annoying.

maybe brawl will be like rated M or something so they won't have to worry about that.


whats everybodys thoughts on a crew leader kinda thing. it could get messy cuz of poeple fighting over leadership but at the same time it sounds cool to be a leader of a crew. i dunno maybe you could have like weekly matches over the leader spot.


also how is the best way to stop cheaters. i guess a no rank system would be the answer to that but that takes alot of the fun away. if there waz a way to like turn poeple in some how and like kick them off (i was gonna say ban but i am not sure that is spelt right) online play for a week or so that would be cool. or better yet if there was like no action replay (AR) for the game or no way to hack that would solve all the problums.

warcraft clans are really well organized. If ssbb has that kind of system, it'd kick ***.... clan chat rooms/channels or whatever, it'd be awesome to just drop in a clan channel and challenge people you seek vengeance for... heehehe

or they have to make totally new system on the online battle..

because they need clan's chatty room, profile room,

clan point's ranking room, and also, they need clan's name,

clan's mark ... etc..

I think clans would be OK, not really crazy about clans becuase i can see this ruining Brawl. It's going to turn Brawl into a competitive game rather then a game of fun. Everyone wants to be the best but the truth is that there will always be someone out there that can kick you *Beep* real good. As i said before clans will be okay as long as there is no fowl play.

My biggest concern at the moment is foul play as well. Clans won't ruin Brawl, clans will promote more competitive play. If there is any way to "mod" or use some sort of software in conjunction with Brawl like an action replay or something, THAT will ruin it. Unlikely thought it may be.

Hey i will join your clan um... i will pm you my wii code (CBA to go upstairs at the moment)and i am quite good iv spent years mastering every single one of links moves (apart from his bow and i have only partially mastered the hookshot).

And abut these clans Nintendo will most probably only have a Friend match a Random match and maybe if we are lucky a leader board in their online play so you know we can all sort clans out ourselves! (iv done it countless other times with other games)

There is definitely going to be a leader board. Like said several times above, there is some info that is confirmed, and some that isn't, but we are sure that GameSpy is handling the online play, including leaderboard and matchmaking, and perhaps more.

World of Smashcraft? Please. No. Noooo.

Think clans will make a large scene coming closer to the release of Brawl but it's a bit too early at the moment for thinking about joining a group of people to play a game in 5-6 months time.

First order of business. I think clan has become a word that jsut triggers the thought in an outsiders mind, "Jeeze clans? These kdis are nerds!". It has got to be crews or it could potentially promote the same sterotype of some of the wasteoid halo-addicts.
And second, I would be down for a Kirby Crew, I'm taking the Kirb up as a main.

I don't see how a word like klan kould konjure up negative konnotations.

That said, let's find some alternatives...

"Crews" is always a possibility, but those are offline. Doesn't really matter, but still.
"Team" is a solid choice. I'd love to see the first Team Rocket specializing in Pokemon. Heh.
"Gang" ... no.
"Band" sounds kinda funny, but could work well.
"Bunch". Hehe.
"League."

...oh well, I guess "crews" works well. Although "teams" is just vague enough to let every team give themselves an own definition, so team is just used in order to refer to the whole.. or something?

I really would suggest you make it weeks after the game is out, I mean what if 50% of your clanmates are glitchers, you are branded with that for life!

Last time we heard from Sakurai (hopefully at E3 he will enlighten us more about this matter XD), the team wasn't going to be making the online all that complicated (No rank ladders, not many options, etc.). Things have probably changed a lot since then, so you never know. Maybe they added the options for like actual Crews on the Online. I guess it's something to keep in mind.
