The Mario was really good, you werent bad either. Those were some fun games to watch, cause you have a different Marth playstyle then me, so that was fun as well. Nice vids.

lol he mained mario in melee so he sticks with him and i used marth against him in melee too so its always been a matchup we both know :p

Hmmm, decent CK. Needs more zoning and utilt, but I don't really wanna critique you on a fight against a player you've been playing against for a long time, because your metagame is different. Just use more retreating fairs, and a little more ftilt and utilt, and watch your spacing. Pretty solid. It's hard to zone in more than that, because the style dramatically different from the first to last match for you. Try not to be so predictable though. You were a bit safer in the latter matches, but then I started to call out some of your stuff. Find a balance.

Watching the last match.

:07 - the full hop put you in a very vulnerable position which is why you got hit after you fair'd.

:28 - if you continued with the regular forward version all hits would have connected

:30 - reverse up b. instead you rolled away and reset the match to neutral

:34 - why do you keep full hopping? >_>

:40 - i don't recommend that gimmicky forward b > grab stuff. if you continued with the combo he would be off the stage in a bad position with more %. instead you got punished

:52 - you let the fireball scare you and landed on the platform = bad idea. then you rolled on the platform = worse idea.

1:03 - seriously, stop the full hop ****. if you did a short hop retreating bair it would have tippered but instead you just whiff twice while in a bad position.

1:29 - should have done a dtilt or SHF to start your zoning, instead you just dashed right into his jab combo

1:38 - if you land a dtilt = free dancing blade, don't just keep doing dtilt

1:44 - this was good, you start using the dtilt as a trap and punish him as he tries to get away (in this case rolling behind you)

2:13 - the mario takes a completely defensive position and holds up his shield for at least a full second. you just stand in the middle of the stage giving him plenty of space. you should have kept the pressure on with a dancing blade, shfair, grab, something. don't just stand there

2:16 - this mario really likes to roll behind you, unfortunately you got a little anxious and threw out an fsmash, he succeeds this time

2:36 - dair on stage? If you did a fastfall fair it would be safer, faster, and would have actually hit. instead your lag gets punished

2:43 - i don't get this full hop crap. you need to stop doing it, it isn't working.

2:47 - up b OoS

2:50 - another dair, bair probably would have hit

2:55 - nair coming down when opponent is below you? bad idea, completely left you vulnerable and he took advantage

2:57 - your spacing is getting reckless now, yes even when you are getting juggled. most of this match mario has been getting inside your sword way to easily

Pretty solid Marth. I play against Marth players all the time, but one of them is highly predictable with his F-airs. I'll show him these videos so he can mix him game up.

i live in the best region so i only play the best :p my tactics may seem very weird to all of you other regions out there but it works

pretty good marth but i wouldn't recommend the "dancing fair" (using db 1 hit as approach)... it's pretty bad.

you are in atlantic north but not in Md/Va xD id say my whole game would prolly work on most Out of Staters .......

the things you critiqued me on the full hopping now thats just being mean my full hoping means good :p and can be considered a mind game

my matchup against boss is very different than others... i dont consider him to be just a mario lol

just watched the first Marth vs MK match, I dont have a lot of time so just some quick notes:

-Nice job punishing his very minimal lag with DB
-A bit too aggro IMO, the MK matchup is usually easiest when played extremely defensively.
-Gotta take advantage of the grab release, you missed the tipper fair multiple times

That's fine, i just thought you did some stupid **** that you could have been punished for or could have taken advantage of. Full hops are fine, but not almost every time you fair. Just some things i'm suggesting.

Even against the best Mario, Boss, zoning still applies. Mario was constantly getting inside your range and owning you, that was probably the only thing that threw me off in those vids.

Also you f-smash a little too much. Like it was the reason you got killed in match 3, so its not like you spam it, but you are getting punished for it. Didn't see much ftilt either. And also L2PS better, seriously, if a Mario doesn a fireball close range as Boss did sometimes, PS that **** and punish his ***.

Match 4.3, Boss with the mindgames was amazing. Very entertaining and high skilled matches. Gj

just an update me and korn got 4th place with marth and metaknight i was marth obviously..

and it was crews not singles for the second part and we got first our crew was Chillin me Korn and lobos

with my stock i took out a Falco,Game and watch, and 2 off DDD before losing my final stock ^_^ so i took out a total of 8 stock :O

Marth is too ****

oh right i also Tipped metaknights Tornado and his Foward b lmao took those 2 stocks easy maybe the vids will be up

I'll update this thread if they come out :p
