Charziard for brawl

Probably not, it seems Infernape is taking it's place. Still, Blaze is more popular than Charizard at the moment.

What is it with fire types anyway? Every time a new pokemon game comes out everyone always picks the fire type starter.
For all the people that argue charizard is cool, have a think about franchises that based all their monster designs off “cool like” dragon wannabes. He is a stereo typical dragon that should be in Yugioh.

I too once had a fav fire pokemon.

I remember being a big fan of Magmar, and after watching magmar lose to Charizard in the old pokemon series I remember despising Charizard. That is the sole reason to me hating the ugly full of it's self fire lizard.

This is completely irrelevant, but what the hell did they do to magmar’s evolution?

don;t get me wrong, i like other types and water, fire and dragon are just my 2 favorite. (then psychic, ghost, water, poison, dark)

and charizard is the only pokemon that resembles a fire dragon, though it is fire flying. the only fire dragon i know is salamance, which is cool, but charizard is cooler

What are you talking about? Infernape is the best starter in the game. I'm not being biased because I myself am a fan of Empoleon. Charizard is one of the worst starters because if stealth rocks is in play everytime it switches in it gets half its hp chipped away if it is under 50% of its total hp it gets knocked out. Infernape has excellent attk and sp attk and a very varied movepool. Infernape is a great sweeper and take out Charizard with a swift Thunder Punch. Blaziken also pales in comparison to infernape.... =\

I liked infernape as a starter, but hp and defense and attack are what it is good at. infernape, on the other hand, could be taken out with one razor wind, or 2 aerial aces, which, strike first. wheres infernapes speed now?

Grass was always the best starter because of the early gym battles usually being rock type.

Charizard is cooler than all the other fire type starters imo just by looks, although I personally think Blastoise would make for more unique abilities than Charizard in ssbb.

Neither Razor wind nor aerial are first turn attack. In fact Razor Wind takes 2 turns to charge up, besides it would only neutral damage to Infernape sine its a normal type move plus the only pokemon that learns razor wind that's faster than Infernape is Floatzel and it would have to switch into a Close Combat or even worse a Thunder punch. Also while its charging its 'oh so deadly' Razor wind which has only 80 base power and it recieves no stab from Infernape can OHKO it. Plus 2HKO'ing Infernape isn't really that good unless you have defenses and hp to back it up.

I know who magmar is, spelling his name correctly is something completely different.
I'm doubting that charizard will get in, but regardless who thinks Magmar would work better?

Actually, if past Smash games are anything to go by, then some form of all the starter pokemon will appear in brawl.

Granted it might necessarily be Blaziken, but it's more likely than combusken.

Why is charizard so popular anyway?
I rember the good old pokemon card days when charizard had 120hp and he was one of the most wanted cards. He is broken in the telivision show aswell, not to mention ugly.
