I'd love to see Ephraim in Brawl.. Like a Marth but with his Siegmund. (His end-game lance, for those that havn't played Sacred Stones..)

Honestly, i'd love for the IC to be replaced with Bub and Bob from Bubble Bobble. With their bubble blowing ability, they'd be pretty fun. Sigmund would definitly rock. Sora would be pretty cool, just because i love the keyblade, but i highly doubt he makes it in.

I think Kain (from ff4) would be awesome.. I'd love to see a dragoon hopping around in Smash.

...Hmm.. i think i'm a little biased towards a character that wields a lance. ;D

...are you kidding? It's a figure of speech. Instead of saying "for example, Sonic," one could say "read: Sonic," as in they're pointing it out as a definite example.

It's cool that they have Megaman on the poll, but I'd rather vote for...Zero. He'd make a better SSB character IMO.

They can't have Zero without the main character Megaman. If Megaman was included, then maybe SSB4 would have a chance for Zero and Bass.

No for Zero to work, we need Megaman X first not just any Megaman. If it's Classic Megaman, then Protoman would have to come next, then Bass. If it's X then the order would go X, Zero, Axl. Unless it's the Zero from the stand alone Megaman Zero games.

271-- Rejoice Metroid Prime Hunters fans: this dude wants Sylux, Weavel, Noxus, and Ridley to appear. Of course, I'd personally be insulted if that's the ONLY "Western contribution" Sakurai does for Brawl, but hey - decent ideas.

272-- Wants Captain Falcon to return. He is also remarking how F-Zero GX adds more "background" to the franchise. Also, if possible, bring back Mute City and make a new Port Town stage.

273-- Wants the game to have a plot, and to introduce each new character dramatically in that story.

274-- Rambling about stuff. He wants Steven Stone from Pokemon R/S (Daigo Tsuwabuki in Japan).

275-- Likes the Pokeball item, and wants it to stay, because it adds craziness to the game.

276-- Huh. This is an interesting letter. The guy wants some song in the game that got translated funky ("the rice cake remaining overnight"), and it doesn't mention the game. BUT then he goes on saying that, if Sakurai could, he needs to include "Beware the Forest Mushrooms" from Mario RPG, and maybe even the Forest Maze stage. The author adds that this song is copyrighted to Square-Enix, but could still appear if "Geno is participating *wink wink*"

277-- Something about contributing more than once, and then whining about the 6/9 deadline. He does make an interesting comment that most people would just be happy if they include all the old characters and these 5 new ones, but if Sakurai wants to spend his time to make more, go for it.

278-- Yes! A suggestion I wanted to see for a while now, Marth's right hand girl -- Sheeda

Does a scenario where Marth and Sheeda both get invited to Smash, along with Jeigan, Maji, and Saji. He makes a comment that every other game has their "princess" in Smash already, so why not Fire Emblem? (though I thought Sheeda was more of an advisor, not a princess...). Funny trivia: this entire letter was written from Sheeda's perspective, as if she were submitting the letter. It starts with "Sakurai-san, it's me, Sheeda. Please produce an invitation for myself and Marth this time around!"

279-- Talks about Wi-Fi, and how not everybody has access to it, especially with something larger than the DS and not as portable. He says it's still cool he can battle his friends in person, though, and looks forwards to Brawl. Oh, he also says that the game should still focus on multiplayer heavily, and don't lose sight of that (just caught that bit when I was scrolling down). He's afraid it will become a "loner" game, where you just play one-player stuff and then go online to do 1v1s with random people (a fear I also share at times).

280-- Says he likes Kirby's Copy ability, and looks forward to seeing it in use in Brawl.

281-- Just commenting that if a character's speed drops, they lose a bit of their charm. If a level gets smaller, it also loses some of its charm, because you exclusively fight in melee battles, and it gets tiring. Says finding balance is incredibly difficult.

282-- Another creative guy

He writes his letter similar to how Ness's father talks to him on the phone, whenever he sends cash. He tells Ness that Paula, Jeff, and Poo will be joining him in the next Smash Bros., and here's some money for the trip :chuckle:

283-- Wants Zelda to return, in full fighting form just like she was in Melee (Lightning Kick inlcuded

). Asks that Demiru from Tomato Adventure also appear in the game, along with a Tomato Robot. He then mentions that if games like TA are not repped, at least add them as figures/trophies.

284-- YES! Another request for Takamaru! ^______________^ This guy says he can't WAIT to seeNazo no Murasaemjou revived in some form, even if it's Smash Bros.! ^_^ ^_^

...oh, and he also wants Ness and Kirby to get their strength back ^_^;;

285-- He wants Crazy Hand and Master Hand to return to the game, and he alludes to moving them freely with the remote.

286-- Hehe. After seeing Pit, he immediately went out to buy Kid Icarus, has successfully completed it and loved it. He talks about the ending to Kid Icarus, how Pit changes into either a Trojan-style soldier or an "adult" angel depending on how you play the game. Says it's a lot like Zelda's transformation to Sheik. He mentions a few funky names, but I don't think they're character ideas, just pet names for people.

287-- Reminisces about the letters, and wishes Sakurai luck after he takes his hiatus to work on Smash.

288-- Suggests a character from a wrestling game: [multiple-unit steerable antenna]? wtf? He compares him to being a cross between Snake, Ganondorf, and Captain Falcon. Also says the game is severely lacking in females, and he wants more than just four (definite) females this time (I would lump in JPuff, but this guy doesn't). He wants them to dig deep and pull out some stellar female fighters, since we're in an age now where there is gender equality, and women can fight as well as men. He uses Princess Kumatora from Mother 3 as a good example, and he might suggest Paula as well. Not sure.

289-- Rambling.

290-- Wife of entry No. 10, thanking Sakurai for whatever.

WOW. That was the longest bunch I've EVER looked at, and I had to do 30 one night *breathes a sigh of relief*

Yet Protoman was never playable (strangely, except for that fighting game), while Bass and Megaman shared the final Megaman game, Megaman 9 (US called Megaman and Bass).

There's mostly no doubt he's in. He had more of a chance than Snake, and I remember reading at different times at different places that Yuji Naka wanted him in (even though he's not a part of Sonic Team anymore), and Shiggy likes Sonic. Sonic Team and Nintendo are on very good terms.

But like I said in another topic, there's always the chance that Nintendo just want to piss us off again and not put him in. There's also Sonic Team, who has a history of enjoyment in pissing off all of their fans, so they probably won't get Sonic in just to continue their record of pissing off the Sonic fans.

EDIT: So, the simple safe D word, and the not so safe a word are auto- cencored, but the word pissed isn't?

I'm wishing that Sakurai reconsiders including third party characters. Nintendo characters alone are enough and that worked perfectly before. One is enough, just like in Soul Calibur 2: you didn't see more non-Namco characters in it other than Link.

It means neither. If anything, it means that the Sonic suggestion comments were boring or poorly made, and wouldn't have been good examples to post.

And Nintendo does piss people off (not nearly as bad as Sonic Team, followed by Square). I made a point about this is some other topic, can't remember which.

I'd just like to point out two things real quick:

1) The reason Snake made it in is because Hideo Kojima, Snake's creator, practically begged Sakurai to put him in; the only reason he wasn't in Melee was because Kojima asked too late in developement. This is one truth.

2) Replace the words "Hideo Kojima" with "Yuji Naka," "practically begged" with "asked before Hideo thought about it," and "Snake" with "Sonic," and you have another truth.

In other words, Sonic has a very strong chance of making it in Brawl, whether you (or I) want him or not.

Bull. It doesn't take a fan boy to know that Sonic, of all 3rd party characters has the best chance. I HATED Sonic games every since Sonic Adventure 2, which is where the series took a turn for the worse, but even I know Sonic has a great chance. You attacking me just because I was stating a fact, and claiming it was a pathetic post because of a fact, you have no reason to argue here, and less of a reason to attack me.
