there should just be a poll or something for some of these in question
like "who made the most influence on you to play falcon?"
and then name like all the falcons isai, darkrain, ss, scar, etc.
cuz for me its probably darkrain or ss besides isai being who he is...
he broke my heart at apex...
and i feel like for some chars the people who were featured in combo videos would be the most influential

In terms of first influential players, this seems like the most accurate list to me.

Browsing these boards on and off since 05, and I've never heard of Kamal. Google lead me to a video of him as "Rock," vs DA Dave (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_4KfmXA9uw). Never paid too much attention to Luigi. Neat to learn something new.

I always felt like Sheik had no single major influence in the beginning. I used to hear about a west coast player from back in the day, not DSF or Omar, but I can't remember.

Bowser: Some names come to mind, but don't know who was big first. Ditto for Yoshi.

Oh yeah. CJ vs Ken basically taught me the basics of Marth vs Sheik.

It's funny you say that because I've been wondering the same damn thing for a while now. When people think CJ, at least from what I've seen, they reference his DK/doc, neglecting his sheik...lmfao. His sheik was by far his best character when he dominated Japan's scene(also during the Bombsoldier hype era). I mean if it wasn't for CJ's sheik, Amsah may not have even been inspired to main sheik/perhaps play this game. I definitely think of Sheik when i think Captain Jack...I actually forget that he one mained DK/Doc. (way back in '05)
