My favourite part of the veteran reveals is that I have an expectation of what they're going to look like in HD, but then they get shown off and holy polygons they look ten times better than what I expected. In terms in who's left, I'm stoked to see Ganondorf due to his level of detail. Even Falco/Wolf/Captain Falcon have enough design elements that could look sooo beastly in HD. Dang I'm even excited for the Ice Climbers' fur effects. Also, for Jigglypuff I'm really hoping they rework the model to look like its more modern proportions. I mean...

Like I want Palutena because her hair is so long and pretty.

I want Scorpion even though I've only played Mortal Kombat once or twice in my life, just for a reveal trailer with that theme song.

That's actually the biggest reason why I love seeing veterans here as well. Seeing the new models with much higher polygons, better expressions and details and in HD no less gets me really excited. Can't wait to see Wario (MK8 is his first HD appearance), Ganondorf and Captain Falcon particularly.

Although Charizard got the short end of the stick. Dat low poly.

As it seems there was a tournament/few characters argument a few pages ago I just want to make clear that
-Spoilers are very common in videogames, for example, the whole plot of KH 3D was spoiled months before the game was released in America
-The tournament will just be a demo, the game is still in development which means there will be few characters in the tournament, I'd say that there will be 16 characters there

That is so METAL and the truth. Ridley is truly deserving of such a repugnant fan-base. However, that same hatred will spew from the bowels of that thread if Rildey is confirmed as well. Ridley's fan-base is pestilence personified.

I want every character to have glorious expressionS. It seems like they emote more consistently. So that is exactly what could make Jigglypuff more interesting.

I'm sure this has probably been discussed somewhere in this massive thread, but I was just wondering what other people think about more third party characters, particularly a second Sonic representative. Right now we have Sonic and Mega Man, and were probably getting Pac-Man at E3. So assuming Snake is cutting that would be 3 3rd party characters. Now I bring up a second Sonic rep because this is only the first Smash game Mega Man is in, but Sonic's second. Personally, unlike most, I would like Tails as a second Sonic rep, but of course even over a second Sonic rep, people could want a character like Lloyd. But then there is the issue of people saying this is supposed to be Nintendo all-stars game and there can't be too many third party characters, but I think as long as Nintendo characters largely out weigh the third party characters then there shouldn't be an issue. Just want some other opinions.

Also, I think angry Jigglypuff would be fantastic.

Yeah, that makes more sense I suppose. Dr. Robotnik seems like he'd fit better as a boss character to me, but he'd do some pretty crazy stuff regardless.

Only 3D in the series was in one minigame on the DS game. It's why I actually want the character to be 2D like Game&Watch.

I would LOVE to see another Sonic character such as Tails, Rouge, Silver, Amy, or Shadow, which I am known for here, but as much as I do support it, we're not getting any!! I mean, if we did have a third party franchise get another character, it would be Sonic, but it's still not happening. Third party characters are considered guests, but considering the relationship between Nintendo and SEGA, a lot of people expect a buyout between the two, which I'm not going to cover because it's off topic. Just remember that we're lucky that Sakurai gave us third party characters in the first place

I believe I am technically one of those "repugnant" fans, as I would love to see those Ridley detractors who have been so needlessly cruel to Ridley supporters be reprimanded in some way for their disgusting behavior.

If it changes your opinion, the Chorus Kids animate in a very squiggly style, I think to mimic the artstyle of the previous game's first minigame.

What's legitimate about them? I don't see anything outside of a fairly convincing menu design that would suggest it's real. Maybe if we had some un-confirmed character in there, maybe, but it doesn't look like it.

Why do the two pictures have different layouts? And why are the characters placed in spaces apart? I can't see these being real for those two reasons.
