Overlord Laharl from the Disgaea series. A SRPG serise that truly redefines what "Over The Top" means with an oddly satisfying way that they give you a post-game difficulty curve steeper than the grand canyon whose 1st game got a remake on the DS.

This is just a boisterous villain (...Protagonist in his own series, but it's all in perspective of the evil. What else do you expect of a demi-devil who rules a Netherworld?) for the roster with an arsenal around his natural expertise of axes fists and swords. And honestly I'd love to see some of the later titles get remade onto 3DS instead of the sony-exclusive path that the series has tied itself to since....

Honestly, even with only this rule applied, my ultimate want is still Paper Mario.

when you think about it, I play mostly nint4ndo games, enjoys them the most and the Paper Mario series is special with how much it nails my tastes.

So, it kinda make sense.

I still hate Sanae for pumping Sakuya off the P3 slot.

I still wonder that if ZUN, holding one of if not the single most successful indie series on the world despite its heavy japanese hold, if it would end up between Reimu or Marisa being the Smash Candidate. The former being the more "traditional" protagonist with a more basic type of character while the later is a fairly brash and arguably more popular protagonist that fits a bit better into the arcade style fighter titles IMO.

A tetris block. I love Tetris and it'd be amazing to see its importance towards Nintendo's history properly recognized. Also, a puzzle piece with a potentially very creative moveset > any character with so-called "moveset potential" :D

Tbh, I know nothing of Touhou but Night of Nights and Cirno's theme.

Both of which are great.

Touhou's an indie PC Bullet Hell top-down shooter with a fairly wide cast of (almost-exclusively) females made up of various aspects of Japanese Mythos known for five things above all else: Amazing Music, Good Writing, The Cast, The Fanbase, and....

The hard as hell gameplay. And this isn't even a boss.

The series, as it is, has 14 main titles starting from the PC-98 era, with 2 of the "Camera" Spin-offs where you passively endure these bullet swarms until you can take a picture that matches specific requirements, 4 of the arcade fighter spin-offs, and whatever you classify Great Fairy Wars as. Actually, game "14.5" went live just a few days ago.

Edit: The fans, though... have made a fan game of practically any genre and niche you could ask for if you dig far enough. Team Desunoya arguably having the most famous titles of the list with the entire Super Marisa Land wing of titles, Nitroid, and the MariAri friggin puzzlers.

Well... she'd kinda embody the part of my Donbe & Hikari moveset I put on the latter half of the duo.

She's that "Japanese Mythos spoof" character I've been wanting ever since Icies and G&W showed that we don't exactly need someone in off the merits of how well they've done in combat.

I think i would choice Ridley, Dark Samus and/or Sylux. Just because the Metroid franchise need more representation (event tough that one as the curse of bad memes in him...).

Guys. Shortly after we got the Ballot confirmed but before we ended up datamining the entire thing of Roy and Ryu, I made this.
I dug it back up rolling over a chatlog with friends.
I'm upset about how much better this could be made to look a month after it was made. It's a shame that our information comes in swells and droughts.

Edit: The new draft would basically be trying to manage out a new column with the additions of Roy and Ryu, obviously, and then Isaac and... I honestly don't know who would be the best pick for a 4th. I'd almost argue Dixie. (Or.. you know. My selfish pick of Ganon)
