Tier wise thats actually pretty close other than lucario.

Hmm... Luigi, Falco, Diddy Kong... I forget the other sidekicks xDI want all of them, that's childish but I do.
Also I omitted Mewtwo and Dedede from my original comment but I get you.
The sidekick population in Smash makes me some mad that I feel every series should get their main villain plus a top tier goon in the roster. But that's crazy talk.

Jigglypuff has a lot of HP, so she would survive 2 Surfs!Maybe if Jigglypuff evolved when Greninja would just use surf and Water Pulse and it's dead
I know.Fairy beats Dark.
That is actually amazing.Looking at my May 2013 roster (before any characters were revealed) it's actually... not that bad anymore.
I got Shulk, Palutena, Little Mac, Mega Man and Pac-Man (back then only Palutena and Mac were generally agreed upon, to a lesser extent Mega Man). Missed Rosalina but got Bowser Jr. Takamaru was considered. Mewtwo, Lucas, Roy and Wolf have or are probably going to be added. I don't have Robin on this roster but I put him/her on a later version before they were revealed. Never had Chrom as so many did. K. Rool and Isaac stand decent chances through the ballot, and pretty much 95% of the rosters made back before the Ridley drama started did have him on it, so whatevs.
Didn't anticipate the Squirtle, Ivysaur, ICs, or Snake cut, but most people didn't either back then (or at least they didn't think we'd get Sonic without Snake). I included Toon Zelda... who as a previously planned potential clone is no worse a choice than the ones we ended up with imo.
Other than that... I don't have Villager because of Sakurai (he was on an earlier roster), WFT because why would I, DHD because unless you were @Arcadenik neither did you, Greninja because he wasn't even revealed at the time (still wouldn't have had him anyway though - people didn't really expect a sixth gen), or the Miis because forget the Miis. I did have them on a later roster though. Oh and the clones. But ehh, I didn't think we'd be getting such direct clones anyway.
I give it a 2015 rating of pretty solid/10.
I made a power point on characters about....I'd say right before the release of Meta Knight. I got Bowser Jr. right. (Although I didn't think we would get another Mario character, so I don't think he counts.) Missed Dark Pit, and Alph (but he doesn't count). I was right about Wolf not returning. I was right about Squirtle and Ivysaur's absence. I was wrong about R.O.B., but right about the Ice Climbers. That is actually amazing.
In comparison, here's a recreation of my post-E3 2013 roster.
All I got was Miis, Palutena, and Greninja (Kalos Trainer was Chespin - Braixen - Greninja).
Then again I only had a whopping 8 extra slots of fighters from Brawl. So... 3 out of the 6 newcomers that I wrote in (technically 8, due to Kalos Trainer) made it in and two of the others got NPC roles. =P
Edit: I really should've at least TRIED for a more expanded pool of newcomers that early in.
No. It's physically impossible. Can we talk about Slaptoon again? Because the amount of push Nintendo is giving them is crazy.
I kind of knew Charizard was going to be by himself, Megaman i figured was in, and I thought Snake might get cut. Greninja was a surprise, and I figured after hearing about Namco's involvement that Pac-man was in, Palutena was assumed because Sakurai, Dark Pit wasn't even thought about, and almost everything else was a surprise. However I really did think Ridley was in but we know how that turned out. Also I figured Mewtwo would be back some how, because if not now then never. That is actually amazing.

Thanks! That roster is indicative of how they used to be... with a larger focus on popularity and overall importance than the new trend of recency. It was before anyone anticipated that's how the Smash 4 one would end up. Though I was still missing the really out-there picks that every roster ends up being comprised of. But even if I had had to pick them, they wouldn't have been the ones we ended up with. That is actually amazing.

Splatoon is a great game at its core hindered by Nintendo being Nintendo. Can we talk about Slaptoon again? Because the amount of push Nintendo is giving them is crazy.
Well thankfully the online was pretty solid when I played it last weekend. I wish the whole hour thing wasn't a thing but I preordered myself a copy so I'm not too hung up about it. At least I didn't have to pay for the demo or the online service to play it on. Jeez I hate Xbone and PS4. Love the games but jeez, the money walls are immense.Splatoon is a great game at its core hindered by Nintendo being Nintendo.
So did I. About halfway through the Direct where ZSS and Sheik were revealed to be split up from their counterparts. Other than that,I kind of knew Charizard was going to be by himself
The connection is fine. The complete lack of voice chat and delays of custom matchmaking, being able to team with friends and private games is not.Well thankfully the online was pretty solid when I played it last weekend.
Well yeah, but I'm kind of glad there isn't voice chat. TF2 and Halo play have been well... like thisThe connection is fine. The complete lack of voice chat and delays of custom matchmaking, being able to team with friends and private games is not.
It feels like Splatoon is shipping as an unfinished product. These things they're adding later are basics of the genre that should be there from the outset.
I agree and understand what you're saying. Well on the bright side progress is being made but yes Nintendo shouldn't be immune to criticism. It's understandable why people might not want to use voice chat with randoms. But I fail to see the downside to having it be optional (it could even be turned off as the default setting), with a mute option, or at the very least having it solely in private matches with friends (when those actually come out... in several months... -_-). Just because some people might not use it doesn't mean it shouldn't be there.
If any other publisher pulled this with an online-oriented team-based shooter there'd be hell to pay. Nintendo shouldn't get a free pass simply because they're Nintendo. It seems as far as Splatoon goes Nintendo has been taking one step forward then two steps backward.
I mean this is an online multiplayer-focused game and at launch the most robust part of it is going to be the single-player campaign. That's a little messed up.
Don't get me wrong, I'm still really looking forward to this game, but much less so the more I learn about it unfortunately. :/
My first prediction roster was so unrealistic.
The same would probably go for everyone here.
One of these things is not like the other.People said had zero shot and Chrom was much more worthy and I was delusional, well guess what happen on #MonadoMonday and speaking of Monado
Man the were insane, ignoring Gemastu, they were adamant that can't get in for getting how Nintendo was pushing Xenoblade X
What are trying to say? I'm stating that the Shulk detractors were annoyingOne of these things is not like the other.
Funny thing; while I didn't predict that Charizard would for sure be going solo, I did predict that should the Pokémon Trainer be unable to return due to hardware reasoning, Charizard would be the only one of his Pokémon that would go solo. Simply because he's ****in' Charizard. So did I. About halfway through the Direct where ZSS and Sheik were revealed to be split up from their counterparts. Other than that,

It would just be Charizard.
I was referring to Kid Icarus and how the script is pretty intense for a 12+ game. Are you talking about the English thing with the curtain that may or may not be a curtain, possibly male My Unit's robe?
PAL got rid of Tharja's boingy bits thoughI was referring to Kid Icarus and how the script is pretty intense for a 12+ game.
And, as I say, the Fire Emblem thing remains unaltered in the PAL version.
Or someone who ended up following the thread Arcadenik made/played SSB: Crusade. I know I had him as my retro guess, but everyone else seemed to berate the DHD fans for choosing him over Takamaru.DHD because unless you were @Arcadenik neither did you
