I doubt that's going to make that much of a difference. Anna has those things, but I would certainly not consider her an all-star. She's a reoccurring character who, in most titles, is just the shop owner. That's not really important. It's just something IS does in Fire Emblem. The sum of her roles! Importance to the series! Not recency of defining roles! Surely that is what Sakurai cares about, aye? Relevance matters not a whit, as has been demonstrated innumerable times by our fine friends here at Smashboards.
Oh god, you're right! Everyone, look up ibis pictures. You will be amazed.Actually it was a dragon and ibis.
Aye, but I look to the future with stars in my eyes. Hope is the only virtue I will readily attribute to myself.I doubt that's going to make that much of a difference. Now, Marth and Ike having two big games? That's important. They're the only two lords who have those bragging rights.
But, if we get an Awakening character, it will probably be Chrom, Lucina, or the Avatar (and my money is still on Chrom).

I respect that. At least you're not the type of fan who goes around and spouts bullcrap like, "NO. MUH CHARACTER IS TEH BEST. TOETAL SHOE-IN. COME AT ME"Aye, but I look to the future with stars in my eyes. Hope is the only virtue I will promptly attribute to myself.
Don't the characters already have their own "themes" at the Classic/Adventure/All-Star mode credits? No, you would select the music before a match. Alternatively, you could set it to be a random track.
But each character has an associated theme, like in Melee with Young Link and Saria's Song, and Marth/Roy and Fire Emblem.
I'm talking about SSB4.Don't the characters already have their own "themes" at the Classic/Adventure/All-Star mode credits?

Please give me opinions on the roster, as I do appreciate constructive criticism. Two students, James and John were given a grammar test by their teacher. The question was, “is it better to use 'had' or 'had had' in this example sentence?”
The teacher collected the tests, and looked over their answers.
James, while John had had “had”, had had “had had.” “Had had” had had a better effect on the teacher.
No Shulk= Bad roster….jk
Please give me opinions on the roster, as I do appreciate constructive criticism.
Well I can't really see Mii or Tiki getting in (mainly because I don't know much about Tiki and Chrom is the new main character). I also doubt Wolf will be cut since he is a villain and had a different feel to him than Fox/Falco. I don't see any of the spacies getting cut actually. Oh yeah don't know that "history" guy either.
Yes for Lucina. Nay for Lip.View attachment 8049 Roster Prediction.
I don't find Lip likely, but what exactly do you have against her?Yes for Lucina. Nay for Lip.
Why do people think this way when there's a healthier alternative?I like Kamek, but I doubt that will happen.
Well, FE characters tend to have made up moves since they have, like, three attack animations in their games. This has probably been mentioned else where and I've played Awakening, but what differentiates Lucina from Marth in your guys opinion as a possible playable character? move set wise of course
Are you referring to people being pessimistic? I don't actually want Kamek to be playable. I just think he is a good supporting villain in games where he has a prominent role. Otherwise I try to stay optimistic with the characters I want such as Shulk, Ridley, K Rool, Isaac, Palutena. I understand some characters are more likely than others, but I still like to advocate for them in discussions. Why do people think this way when there's a healthier alternative?
Yoshi doesn't need another character. Why do people think this way when there's a healthier alternative?
This is a good roster for the most part. Not too sure on Impa though, but it isn't impossible. I would say to swap Tiki for Wolf though. I mean, if any "clones" were to get axed, Wolf is one of the last I would personally pick, since he's so different from the rest of them. But that's just my opinion. Also Daitoryo is a weird choice. I know it has a connection to Nintendo, but it's technically not a Video Game, so I would suggest swapping it for some other "historical" character. But it's your roster, not mine feel free to do whatever you wish.
New surprise prediction roster! Reasoning below:
51 characters including transformations. Bit on the large size, I know, but, if you really want 50 characters, cut Kamek.
No Dixie because uniqueness seems to be key this time around, and Dixie doesn't have as much to work with as some other candidates.
K. Rool because uniqueness and popularity.
Kamek because Yoshi could use another character, because Kamek could be very unique if done right, and because I didn't see Ganondorf getting a reworked moveset. Otherwise, I would have added Black Shadow.
Impa was actually the partial inspiration for my doing this. Impa's possible removal from Zelda would get rid of the only true transformation character in my roster, so another transformation character would be needed in my roster. And since that character was a bit off the wall, I figured, hey, why not go all out with the oddball choices?
Takamaru is retro rep, but I could also see Lip.
Ridley is Ridley.
Palutena because of this that and the other...but mainly because of the leak.
Little Mac because of Little-Mac-Mii rumor and because popularity.
PT cut due to need to diversify the roster. Cutting Ivysaur and Squirtle saves tons of development time. Charizard is still highly popular and shouldn't be cut, though.
Mewtwo is mewtwo.
The character that makes this roster different; Tiki. Being a Manakete, Tiki offers a very interesting playstyle that introduces both a human form and a dragon form. The human form would use dragon-inspired attacks (including breaths) and magic (and possibly angelic dragon wings) at fairly close range (for the most part), while the dragon form would offer a very interesting playstyle of being a large, mid-heavy weight character that uses primarily long-ranged attacks and good mobility to play a game of keepaway with the opponent. Dragon Tiki would focus on stage control and pressure and would suffer from having a large frame and deceptively lighter weight than you would think for a dragon of her size. Tiki would be included primarily due to uniqueness, but also due to recurrence in the Fire Emblem series (which a huge plus for any Fire Emblem candidate) which rivals Marth, and due to needing another transforming character due to Impa being added in place of Zelda's Sheik transformation.
Wolf cut because of cuts being necessary when diversifying the roster. Falco is an alternative cut if you prefer him being cut, but I imagine Falco could take some of Wolf's more unique moves (side B would be especially fitting for him since he's an avian)
Mii because it's the Mii and because of the Little-Pac-Mii leak.
Daitoryo is my historical choice, as many of you know.
Pac-Man due to iconic status, Namco involvement, and Little-Pac-Mii leak. Also because I'm biased and never removing him from any of my rosters.
Snake cut due to possible limiting of 3rd parties and lack of Konami support, but I understand that he's actually rather likely. I actually removed him due to him not meeting the size constraints of my roster. If you'd like, Kamek may be cut and Snake may return and you'll get my typical prediction roster plus Tiki and Impa.
Also, random joke time for you because I'm a clown;
Please give me opinions on the roster, as I do appreciate constructive criticism.

You cut Snake, which instantly makes this completely awful. Put Snake back instead of the pointless random slot.View attachment 8049 Roster Prediction.
That I don't find her likely. I was just predicting. Honestly she's a more interesting choice than Takamaru.I don't find Lip likely, but what exactly do you have against her?
EhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhYoshi doesn't need another character.
Simple as that.
.......that's it. The line. You crossed it.Kamek is unnecessary since Yoshi really doesn't need any other characters.
Dude why would Nintendo put Snake back in when Konami has little to no support over Nintendo in general Sonic games are coming out ONLY on Nintendo. Megaman 9 & 10 were on the Wii and Legends 3 was GOING to be a 3DS exclusive any and all MGS games are on everything BUT Nintendo (and please don't count Snake Eater 3DS which is just a port)You cut Snake, which instantly makes this completely awful. Put Snake back instead of the pointless random slot.
I don't see anything wrong with this otherwise besides Lucina, if this had Snake then I'd give it an 8/10.
Please keep in mind that this is not the place to socialize....And now Knuckles looks like he's on steroids. Lovely.
So, what's going on?
I wish that I could play around with the Other M Ridley model myself, but I don't own Metroid Other M, and I can't use the models that can be downloaded at the Model's Resource. But I'm pretty sure that I'd depict Other M Ridley to be bigger than my Super Metroid Ridley input. Here is the size comparison Angelglory made. It compares Other M Ridley to Samus and Super Metroid Ridley. I think this seals the deal for me.

Clearly, I'm in the boat for a redesign of the Other M model, but to me it certainly looks easier to work with than the Super Metroid model.
Oh boy, here come the Snake arguments. Do you remember this game called Brawl? Snake happened to be in it and guess what, his last game on a Nintendo console was The Twin Snakes, a remake, and his new game at the time, MGS4, was only coming to the PS3. This "argument" over why Snake shouldn't get in has been said hundreds of times and it's still a load of BS. I'm honestly getting tired of typing this repetitively so here are some snippets of why Snake isn't leaving.Dude why would Nintendo put Snake back in when Konami has little to no support over Nintendo in general Sonic games are coming out ONLY on Nintendo. Sakurai had to go through so much trouble to get him in the first place, it would be outright stupid to go through even more trouble to get rid of him. Snake got in because Sakurai and Kojima are friends, and probably still are. People don't realize either, Snake being a third party puts him in a certain predicament. He can't just be "cut" like any other character, Sakurai had to go through legal work and deal with both Nintendo and Konami to get Snake in. I can't imagine Kojima would suddenly not want Snake in, and Sakurai sure won't tell him that he's "just not putting him in this time." Being third party instantly makes Snake higher priority than most of the others, he isn't going anywhere.
Godzillathewonderdog said:If Sakurai didn't want Snake in the game he wouldn't have added him, but he liked the idea of Snake, so he did. Sakurai made it clear that he takes his 3rd party choices seriously, he wouldn't just give into what Kojima wanted if he didn't think it was a good idea. If I'm not mistaken Nintendo didn't want Snake in the game, however Sakurai did (that's what really matters) and he fought to get him in, he worked really hard trying to get him in, so why would he not add him in this time? Also Sakurai said he didn't want to cut anyone, ergo he doesn't want to cut Snake.
It would be pretty happy with it, aside from the cutting of Wolf, Ivysaur, and Squirtle. Tiki seems pretty cool, and I love Kamek. I'll give it an 8.5/10.

I actually really like the redesigns. I tend to view almost every Sonic protagonist as Sonic with a different animal head plus extra features. The new designs make the characters more unique, in my opinion.Sooooo, dat new Sonic game/show looks awful. :U I'm actually kinda glad that Lost World killed my enthusiasm for the series.
Apparently that stopped Snake from coming into Brawl too.Dude why would Nintendo put Snake back in when Konami has little to no support over Nintendo in general Sonic games are coming out ONLY on Nintendo. Honestly, I would probably not have Impa or Tiki if one or the other was cut. That was the main reason for this roster, actually; finding out a good transformation character. No Shulk= Bad roster….jk
I like Kamek, but I doubt that will happen. Similarly, Impa, Tiki, and Daitoryo probably have slim chances. Everyone else is great.
I feel like I am one of the few people who view Mewtwo as an unlikely veteran.
Why not Mii? It's a good representative of Nintendo's Wii and it continues to be a huge part in their marketing. Not to mention it being the face of a multi-million selling series.Well I can't really see Mii or Tiki getting in (mainly because I don't know much about Tiki and Chrom is the new main character). I also doubt Wolf will be cut since he is a villain and had a different feel to him than Fox/Falco. I don't see any of the spacies getting cut actually. Oh yeah don't know that "history" guy either.
Other than that nice roster.
Tiki did appear in Fire Emblem: Awakening. She was actually a fairly major character, too, driving the plot a bit (not getting into spoilers). How is she not "relevant" when she appeared in the most recent title of the series? I'm genuinely confused by that counterargument.@ Pacack
What I'm going to say about your roster is the same thing everyone else is saying.
Tiki is unlikely because there are more relevant choices to choose from, especially considering that this is FE we're talking about.
Daitoryo is a thought that I really don't think Sakurai has come up with. Similarly to Stork, it's a Smashboards created idea. A good one, but likely? Meh.
Kamek is unnecessary since Yoshi really doesn't need any other characters.
Impa is ugh.
It would be pretty happy with it, aside from the cutting of Wolf, Ivysaur, and Squirtle. Tiki seems pretty cool, and I love Kamek. I'll give it an 8.5/10.
Also, I really like that K. Rool icon. Can you post it or give me a link to it?
