That's quite ironic when you take into account that Bowser Jr. isn't even classified as a Koopaling; he's a higher-ranked member of the Koopa Troop, which is evidenced by the fact that you don't fight him in any of the castle courses.

Also, in the ending of New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Bowser Jr. tells Larry to help the other Koopalings pick up Bowser, which further proves his ranking superiority.

It's just alternates. It isn't meant to spark a debate about bowser jr and koopling lore. Samus it's really dark samus. Wii fit trainer isn't getting sex change operations. It's just alternate costumes. Nothing to take personally about backstory of characters.

Actually, Nintendo indeed had involvement in the development of Hyrule Warriors, so Lana is Nintendo. The only way she would be third party is if Nintendo wasn't involved in the development, like was the case for Geno

Lana was created exclusively for Hyrule Warriors. What's not to understand? Lana has absolutely no place in the Zelda series, period. As Sonic would say. . . "Gotta Go Fast!" but seriously, the only way I could see to avoid this problem is if they do something similar to Wario. Give Bowser Jr. 12 different colors instead of 8. I'm actually the other way around. I don't hate Bowser Jr., but if the Koopalings are truly his alts, then I'll never ever play as Jr. For me, this is great.

I'm willing to bet that the majority of people would prefer the koopa Alts over bowser jr color reskins.

And in regards to someone picking bowser jr before you.... I'm sure you'll survive the tragic event. That isn't a reason to have 7 unique Alts cut.

Are you and your friend likely to both want to play Jr. a lot?

I don't think it's anything to complain about though really; Jr. is in the game.

If I got Captain Toad in the game and he had to share his alts with Toadsworth, Toadette, Shy Guy, Nabbit, Goomba, Koopa Troopa and Lakitu I'd still be over the moon. Especially if he had such a great looking moveset!

I think it's safe to assume that there will be eight Classic Warios and eight Biker Warios.
So say, Mac has the regular eight palettes, and his hoodie alt will have eight as well.

That's true, it will most likely be 4 biker and 4 classic for Wario and for the Bowser Jr. problem... well... does it really matter? i'm pretty sure most people will be happy with the Koopalings than with normal color swaps,

Wire frame Mac has the same model, so it's a palette swap. They just ripped his textures off and left the frame.

Hoodie Mac has a unique model, which lends to my idea of it being a true alternate costume ala Classic Wario.

Mac and Wario wouldn't be the only cases, Zamus has the two-piece alt, Robin and Miss Fit/He Fit will likely have eight each.

The only odd case is the Villager, though it seems that Sakurai just used random Villager possibilities for palettes.

Here's a 9 x 6 roster to throw out (for now on 3DS HintHintWinkWink), but I'm only going off what's been confirmed with the solid leak to go with but my own differences go into the roster's look.. My included predictions unsure of with padlocks to be in the areas I feel a newcomer will appear in that said series. This is also how I want the roster to look because of the placement with the characters in their series along with the padlocks making the roster a solid 54 excluding Mii Fighters due to them apparently having a separate tab to click. IF Mii Fighters were to be on the 3DS CSS, the Mii Fighters would be in between Olimar and Mr. Game & Watch, since technically Mii Fighters are Super Smash Bros. Series characters.

1. Padlock # 1 = Dixe / King K. Rool. I perfer K. Rool, but Dixie seems more likely.
2. Padlock # 2 = Toon anyone / Impa / Vaati. I prefer Toon Ganondorf since sword ganondorf is ftw. He's dual-wield which is unique as hotness. No one dual-wields swords in SSB.
3. Padlock # 3 = Ridley or *insert Metroid fighter here*. I would want to see the other Metroid fighter.
4. Padlock # 4 = Mewtwo or Sceptile or Meowth or any other Pkmn. I prefer Sceptile, but Mewtwo's more likely.
5. Padlock # 5 = Honestly it's a free padlock for any franchise, but I put it there for a fourth 3rd party fighter being a possibility, mostly being Snake or possibly something new & uneggspecting. Like another Sonic character. . .?

The change to Team Battle mode now have color outlines to show what team you're on now. You don't have to have the red blue or green palette on to be that Team color, but putting it on anywys helps out with team awareness when playing / watching competitive Team matches. So in away, Red Blue & Green palettes aren't necessity, but they're colors that have been in mostly everyone's palette selection since Smash 64.

I actually do not know of the color outline being 3DS exclusive or not. Sakurai doesn't say anything in the contrary to it being on both consoles so for now it's safe to say they're on both.

Though imo I'd say no, as 3DS' aspect is the thick outlines of all the characters on the screen fighting. The thick black lines get replaced with the Red Blue or Green outline color so that's my input on it. Color Outlines = 3DS Team Battle element only

As mentioned by James, it means something because the Koopalings have never used the Clown Car in battle before, it's a trait that's exclusive to Bowser and his son only. So if they were to be portrayed in a trophy, it'd be expected that they wouldn't have it, instead you'd expect them to use something like the wands instead.

In addition, The Clown Car in Larry's trophy is light blue instead of green, which matches with the idea that he's an alt color for Bowser Jr.

One thing still strikes me as odd for all this ESRB information that isn't a detail of design or me just griping about character choice. This is one really weird thing, in my eyes.

For the way the story goes, the North American ESRB received a video of gameplay about, primarily, new fighters and trophies that would correlate to information not already known about the game.

Here are the categories that'd most likely be judged in severity for this game and the things shown in the leaked videos and the swarm of pictures released the same day.

Cartoon/Fantasy Violence (Bowser Jr., Shulk?, Ganondorf?)
Crude Humor (, his trophy stating the Waft is back was likely enough)
Simulated Gambling (Lottery for trophies)
Suggestive Themes (The trophies of Tharja & Krystal)

This all fairly adds up. Dr. Mario would basically be as he was in Melee, a pallet-changing clone with a few minor property changes on moves. Dark Pit would be using weapons the same as Pit (clone), or of the same tier for ESRB qualification (unique).

But... Duck Hunt. I really don't understand why this character wasn't seen. Say at least one of the multiple leakers who all somehow have parts of this information saw a match that contained the character, but couldn't capture it to post. Alright. Fairly reasonable. Then they should have been able to at least describe how his moveset works, akin to B-Jr. and Shulk in the Ninka leak.

I feel like the character representing a game that used a light gun to simulate killing ducks in hunting season would be one that would have required reviewing.

That is something that just kinda unnerves me about how all these pieces align.

Food for thought about the lack of information about a probable-through-leak newcomer that I feel should've been seen by one of the people distributing the information about the video that would have been sent into the ESRB for review.

The point you're missing here is that they have never had their own individual clown car.

In that image, they're clearly sharing one large clown car, but in the trophy, Larry has his own smaller one.

Bowser Jr. is the only one to have his own (besides Bowser himself). Hence the trophy indicates the Koopalings as alts, as Bowser Jr. is always in the car in Smash.

Well, I've finally resolved my issues with Bowser Jr. He's great and the Koopalings make things even better.
I just hope he'll play good, the Clown Car idea is really... weird. I prefer characters that do well in the air though, so that's good.


The only thing I could possibly complain about is DK still getting the shaft...
I'm really hoping that the Dixie part of the rumors are true, even better if she's a unique character...
