In the case I don't have to take the test, I'm proud to announce the first in my non-existent Melee-Only tournament series, MekosIsALoserWhoWon'tHostMeleeJustBecauseHe'sSmartEnoughToNotTryToDoTooMuchAtHisFirstTournament 42. I finished season 1 of Avatar. It lived up to the hype you guys built for it.

Also, FC only got four entrants for Brawl. This could be a very interesting tournament.

Season 1 of avatar is by far the worst season of Avatar.

It seemed like the TO was trying to be welcoming to Brawl players, but for whatever reason the players weren't. They were just a bunch of idiots who for some reason felt threatened by Brawl. I have no idea why you'd find a video game threatening, but their posts make it pretty clear that's how they felt.

I'm interested in what they're going to do with the tournament, now. Will it be a really short double elimination bracket?

Maybe, someday, the Melee community will declare a war against the rest of the smash community.

Then, we'll need to find some weird tattooed boy who can master all four games, and defeat the Melee Lord. He could be "The last 64 player".

EDIT: I just realized I'm a Melee player. I guess I'll have to try to 4stock all of you, then after 5000000 days of trying, go back and spend the rest of my life drinking competition grade tea. Like this Iron Goddess I have. Oh well, life can be tough sometimes.

EDIT2: So, some blind girl just joined them. I can understand why, given that every RPG (except for the one I wrote) has four main characters. The only problem is, once Zuko joins, what's going to happen to Sokka? Assuming we're following the Golden Sun model, we have one Bender/Adept for each element/psynergy, and Zuko's Uncle is Kraden. There's no room for some crazy dude with a boomerang. Is he trying to be Australian, or something?

EDIT3: Also, why hasn't the Fire nation lost yet? Couldn't a water bender go up to someone and bend 80% of them? That seems like a pretty easy way to beat the Fire nation.

melee player vs brawl player

From a personal standpoint I think distinguishing between any smash playing isn't a good idea and can kill the scene by dividing people. Some people really like smash games and are just way better at one of them but don't dislike the other games and may be interesting in going to the dark side someday.

No one plays 64 in NE but all the melee players enter brawl and vice versa because we are one, basically.

I finished season 2 today, and started season 3. Season 2 was a lot better than 1, and it seems like 3 will be as well.

I finished Legend of Korra. It was pretty good.

I think we should have an Avatar/Korra themed PR.

Hey NC, random question, but I thought I saw a big Brawl tournament in Charlotte coming up sometime between September-November. Does anyone have the link to it? I want to come on megabus for more practice before Apex.

Well, every month there is a ReSe tourney in Charlotte, but it's mainly a big event for Marvel and other 2D fighters, rather than Brawl. Brawl turnouts at those monthlies are always moderate local-size, at best.

Now, if you're looking for something bigger for Brawl in that time frame, ECU (in Greenville) is holding their "Dockside" tourney in October. Brawl will almost definitely get a good turnout there.
