Animazement has a completely ****ty Brawl tournament, imo.
1 Setup? Extremely limited bracket spots? Single Elimination? Lowered time limit?

Nobody should ever go to Animazement for the Brawling. It's a enjoyable event in numerous other ways, but not for Brawl.
I'd like to go, but I'm taking a month of summer courses at UNCC, so I'll be back in Charlotte again, and I doubt JD wants to go.
Btw, I'll be in Cary from May 12-22 before I go off again.

Im not going to animazement for the brawl... I am a huge anime fan and i am going with my gf and some other friends. I will be at the brawl event tho well cause it is brawl... if its bad its bad thats w.e. its not the main reason I am going...

You know me and the Wedoca crew have no love for Smash (or DDR, 'Duty, Halo). We will have a GC and Wii setup on a LCD and projector. We can try component cables for lag, but you know it's gonna be there. This year we will have a BYOC w/ LCD's for anyone that wants to run a N64.
I have not set a time or day for any Smash event, but I do plan on one. I'll need some support from all the folks that want to have it so we do not have a joke like last year. If you gonna be at AZ, I need to hear from you what is the best time to run any Smash tourney. See you there.

If you dont want it to be a joke... then make a date a def date with alot of time to play... have alot of setups for friendlys too... and let me run it or someone who has good tourney hosting exp... run it on tio... Make announcements and have a good schedule... Post a thread about the tournament too with the rules in ATL SOUTH Tourney Listings

So, the guy who is running AZ is making it sound like I won't be getting any quality gaming experiences out of it. Laggy tvs? 1 wii Set up? 1 GC set up? Best of 1? Single Elim? No set date?

Animazement is always super fun for me, the game room is always a huge part for me. I don't know about people who only crave challenge, but I get a huge kick from surrendering to just playing silly, and doing some laggy projector FFAs and 2v2s. It's fun to me to not be competitive for a while, just play some games, and in general team with someone like foxy or stingers and kick major ***.
that's just my two cents, and I guarantee a couple of you guys would just enjoy yourselves if you committed to playing whatever character, how you want, simple gameplay.
Also I wouldn't make anything more out of this AZ tournament than it is: a laggy projector 3 stock 5 minutes smashville best of 1 battle with like 60 entrants and 4 good players. However, if there really is no time slot for a brawl tournament then you guys do whatever you want with it.
