I always said you get getter by playing someone better than you.

It makes you step your game up because you don't want to keep losing over and over.

Yeah people on AiB say my Fox is good, but they are so wrong, they just don't know the match up, although the #14 on the ladders wants to play friendlies with me more often :p

But it is a good way to get exp

I SDed on wifi at least 10 times in sets today, it upset me and costs me matches :(

@313- Sorry couldn't play since I was in ladder matches.

the first step to getting better is not saying you're bad with your character.

edit: 313 please do not go by that, wifi helps on sooooooo many levels it's actually disgusting to know that people do not do it. ( if they have no humans to play with)

Sushi and stingers are the top players of our state ( excluding craig). they dont train with each other, they never go to tourneys..... so why are they good?

because they do wifi. Stingers said wifi is not for winning, it is for learning and understanding how people react to certain moves u throw out.

lol I had fun. We both got away with a lot of **** because of lag that otherwise wouldn't have happened. That's the only part that upsets me about it. Oh and the suicides that wouldn't normally happen kind of pizz me off too. But other than that its all good. Had fun tonight.

I just want to let everyone know that there is a thread about a new set of biweeklies starting up at Duke. I wish you all would go there and comment in it. I want to see if there is enough interest for me to start doing them. Please comment on the thread (Brawl: Duke Biweeklies with Cam banned). Cam isn't banned; he just wants it in the title that way (for some reason). Please comment on the thread so I can gauge the interest. Like my weekends are pretty free and I would like to go to more tourneys but there don't seem to be that many for brawl......so why not do something about it and start hosting. Also, I'm trying to decide whether or not to host the same weekends as DJ (melee and brawl would be at different spots on the Duke campus, but on the same days and the same times if I held them the same weekends). It seems to be pretty split right now. Please comment and lemme know if you would possibly go. I need to know. If I get enough interest, I will go ahead and buy the setups and get these underway. BTW, if I do host these, I am going to need a few tvs. I can buy them or people can bring them for tourneys. Either way is good. But if you know where I can get some cheap CRTs I would be happy to know. So please come and comment on the thread. It dies like everyday and I have to bump it. I want these to happen but not if only 5 or 6 people are going to come.

Holy **** i got really bored tonight and found out Ike is ****ing broken on Wi Tri
lol I thought he was considered by most to be a wifi novelty character......at least until San came along and showed the brawl community that he can be used offline as well.

I think a Zelda/Snake team would do well.

I have to work on my Bowser game more also.

Also, Keith thats true but lag is a major factor in wi-fi as well.

As the only active Bowser player in NC Brawl tourneys, I happily welcome Stingers and Mantis's ambitions to play the Koopa King as well. If you cannot out-Bowser me, then learn from me. If you can, then I shall learn from you. The point is that us Bowsers must unite in order to survive in the cruel world of competitive Brawl. We must share knowledge, tactics, and hype each others matches (playing as Bowser, of course). Healthy competition is great too, whether they be seriouslies or MMs.

Be warned, though, playing Bowser in tourneys is no walk in the park. You gotta have balls of steel to deal with 45:55s or worse almost all across the board. Bowser is a character for MEN who can deal with adversity and are looking for an exciting challenge. If your intent is to become as wealthy as possible, then you have chosen the wrong character, my friends. There is absolutely no logical reason to play Bowser if you're trying to optimize your chances of winning. Even as a secondary, Bowser will be a pointless choice. Unless your main is worse than Bowser, then you're better off with your main in practically every case!

In short, Bowser is not viable. If you are playing him, it is because....

A. You like the character.
B. You like challenging yourself.
C. You have a huge ****.
D. All of the above

If my warning didn't destroy your resolve, then.....

I welcome YOU to the Koopa Kingdom!
