im just sayin, i go to brawl tourneys and it's like people have never seen each other before. ****'s so disconnected.
i think this is an advantage though (like with northern smash communities as well, as mike's been tellin me) cuz that makes the tournament scene more serious.
with melee, everyone's ****in pals. this is awesome for like post-tournament parties/shenanigans and like laughing our ***** off and ****, but as a result i feel like the actual tournament vibes are more relaxed, so people find themselves more free to john and make things gay/into a joke.
i really don't disagree with what corey is doing though.... stock got 17th at this tourney, i say good **** to him, but i think it's healthy that someone is talking ****. i wish it happened in the melee scene more. the only arguments we have are just over johns.... trash talk is way cooler.
yea when it comes to tourney, we are serious mode, after wards is when we chill. Melee jokes and plays around during tourneys, and then y'all don't receive the results u all want from urselves.
@ the melee hate. Cam people arent telling you the truth, i know for a fact that at least five people in the melee community hate brawl, and hate on brawl players. It's not just the hate as well. Little things not never supporting this community, or taking interest in anything we do. I bet if i ask any melee player besides kevin, how many MLG's we have, no one would be able to answer without having to look it up. When y'all make ride threads, i always have to ask that someone mention brawl. At apex 2, me and kadaj were the only brawl players to get rides at apex. I'm not blaming ALL this on melee people, but none of them came to this thread and took an initiative to drive anyone. if sushi had a ride, he might have been able to go, same with stingers, mekos etc. Ilove had to drive BY HIMSELF from NC to NJ because no one would drive him, or ask if he needed. He goes on allisbrawl cause he doesnt want to deal with the trash talk that melee leaves in SWF, i'm sure if he saw people were willing to drive BRAWL players, the trip would have been easier for him.
and Marias tourney? like wtf, if i was there i would have beat the **** out of that hobbit. Starting brawl singles at midnight? who ever hosted made sure Melee was done with, and from what i heard, when melee was done, everyone left to go play melee or left the venue, and no one even stuck around to make sure brawl ran ok AFTER MIDNIGHT.
