O rly? I haven't really tried it on heavies but I assumed it didn't work.

And how do you die most of the time, you must be doing it wrong or something

most of the time you have to wait til the very end of the hitstun of each attack to hit your next move which generally means by the time you hit the uair you're too far down to get back with upb

also a lot of the time you have to fastfall>jump to hit the second bair which doesn't help

that or i only do it at the very edge of the stage or something

IDK dude I always fastfall after the first bair for a bit and still survive

And I don't get why you need to wait for the end of the hitstun

I'll try it out later though

disproving determinism
fthrow-pawnch works, generally like 60-80%ish on falcon/link/fox/yoshi

you have to stick hop
huh? you can definitely do it without stick hop

also on falcon/yoshi/maybe link it works down to like 45%.

Nope pete

Nope ballin, the only thing cool is pivot -> one or two bairs -> tipper uair
non-reverse bair? lame.

Doesn't work on fastfallers though so I guess landing uair -> reverse fair -> dair or something
based on this i think it will work on fast fallers:

lol that i look up something from a video instead of trying it on my n64 that's 4 feet away right now

Yeah Battlecow, gotta grudgingly admit that you actually contributed something cool to my knowledge of Falcon.

Be honest. Did you come up with that or did you learn it from someone else?

Born and bred in the mind of the cow. Better best 100%

I am the only cool thing in smash 64.

Funny thing is that I still miss my own combo half the time when I'm going to the right.

If you are telling the truth, then that is pretty impressive. I didn't even know it was physically possible for you to come up with something like that :troll:

Why not try being cool in Vs Mode for a change? :troll:

I think calling a reverse upair a tipper is pretty misleading. A tipped upair is one where the upair barely hits them with the very top of the hitbox (when it's at 12:00ish) and the character flies forward a lot more than a normal upair.

Also, fthrow doesn't need a stick jump and works as low as the 40-50% range on some characters.

Does anyone feel like dair is overused for tech chasing? I feel like its pretty easy to see coming, even though a lot of good players use it.

"dair is pretty easy to see coming"

"Use falcon kick"

na tho IKWYM, I use da firefoot as a tech chase way more frequently than is good for me

i call a 'reverse uair' tipped but i call a '12 oclock uair' reverse tipped.

Dair is just a good techchasing move. I don't see the problem.

I think dair is better than all three of those most of the time, greg.

Techchasing with up-B is mad fun.

****ING MAGNETS, HOW DO THEY WORK?

But yeah, honestly I don't see any of those being of more than situational use.

Maybe I just need to incorporate that into my game more.

On a separate note, I'm a big fan of upair to Falcon punch. It can be used on pretty much any upair chain if you time it right. Relatively easy to do, can be used on a good amount of characters, and still looks sweet. Underused?

I'm ahead of the times is all.

I predict more support after the 30-minute-a-match Apex GF's and Tacna tourney finals

or else everyone just dismisses 64 as a **** game because they only see hyrule matches

But WHATEVER Doug bro he's pretty cool.

Also I seriously think a day will come when a good player with crazy twitch-hands and a hori starts winning everything by DI'ing out of literally every combo (Uair chains no longer work on Miyagi, lol)

I know I always say you're predictable, but that's just reaching a whole new level of absurdity. Try being interesting.

And yes, I am visibly agitated.
