After Brawl. It was brawl that introduced me to the star fox franchise (and pretty much every other franchise that wasn't Mario, Sonic and Pokemon).

Before. Back in Melee, I mained the Star Fox duo and always wondered who that grey fox guy was in the game's opening sequence. As I got into the Star Fox series, I began to see more awesome characters, and eventually encountered Wolf and his team. Then when I found out he was in Brawl, I flipped out in excitement. Good times

When I started to get into Star Fox a little after Brawl's release, I got into Wolf.

I known Wolf before any of the Smash Bros games, I enjoyed facing him in Star Fox 64. I mained Fox in Smash 64 and when I saw the intro to Melee and saw a glimpse of Wolf I thought to myself what if he is unlockable in Melee but Falco was a big surprise but then seeing Wolf playable in Brawl was a dream come true for me with his assault design and dreamy voice he became my second main in Brawl.

I became familiar with Wolf since the original Lylat Wars (Star Fox 64) "Can't let you do that, Star Fox!"

When I found out he was in Brawl, I was ecstatic just like all the previous character reveals (I didn't have any particular wants back then, I was just happy he was in the game) Hopefully he comes back soon.

Oh I really enjoy reading on Source Gaming. They always put some effort in their articles.

But yes, this month is going to be really dry, because we can be 100% sure Nintendo won´t announce anything, being so close to the ballot end. First REAL news are gona´ be around October. Sigh...

I known Wolf before any of the Smash Bros games, I enjoyed facing him in Star Fox 64. Ugh, I was playing For Glory just a few minutes ago I had "Wolf4DLC" as my little tag thing. Then as someone joins they deliberately change their tagline to WOLF_SUCKS and I'm just sitting here shaking my head in disappointment. I beat him every round safe for 1 and won every time I was paired up with him--you know, just smile and nod and it'll go way. Still irks me, though.

When Brawl came out and I discovered Wolf, I didn't play him long enough to really "get a feel" of him if you know what I mean. I automatically labeled him a clone and stopped playing him (I was a spoiled 13 year old at the time of Brawl's release). Few years later, I play the game and I try Wolf out again and I realize he has more of an aggressive vibe compared to Fox and Falco. I also enjoy his recovery move more as well. Skip ahead a few eggnogs and a High School degree, and I'm feeling somewhat let down that Wolf didn't make it to Smash Bros 4 Wii U and 3DS.

On a side note, playing Brawl again, I find myself disliking the transformation concept, especially with that of Pokémon Trainer. I think it's an interesting concept, but the character (or characters) is now weird for me because I want to focus on one of the three. I'm glad they separated Charizard (though I miss Ivysaur and I'm neutral about Squirtle)

Well recently as I've researched actually Fox and Kirby share like 30% similarity in 64 too. But 21% in Smash 4. :/

It gets more fun when people claim that (determining by special) is the correct way to define a clone, or downright say "clone" is an opinion.

Before Brawl. Years ago when I was a kid Star Fox 64 was the 2nd N64 game I had, and I used to put a lot of hours into playing story mode and multiplayer with my brother and other family members. I thought Wolf looked pretty cool and I liked his accent. I didn't like Falco until Melee, also I thought Slippy was a girl because of his voice actress and that purple-ish scarf from his in game appearance wasn't red like the rest of the SF team. I was never really a fan of Asssult Wolf. He was like a completely different character. Then the manlet biker brawl design came......

I'm just not a fan of the design. Sue me lol
