Sakurai also did that with Mewtwo. Honestly, THAT is the stroke of genius. Wolf is more like Roy or Lucas tier if you ask me.

Started out good, the things about Wolf sounded kinda resonable. And 3 newcomers, one for each region could actually be a thing
(since we should get atleast 4 more characters, to make DLC bundle 2)

But the choices of Shovel and Dixie seem off.
Dixie > King K Rool?
Shovel Knight > Really iconic 3rd party and important to Nintendo history?
Then again, we don´t know what people outside off redit and internet voted for.
Big grain of salt here, but I want to believe. For Wolf

I mean, we are talking about a working character who is easy to buff/ port from a smash to another?

That "leak" said Sakurai couldn't make K Rool work so he chose to make Dixie instead. It actually makes a lot of sense. K Rool is like twice (or three times?) the size of Donkey Kong and DK is already the tallest character in the game (if he stood upright).

Like Bowser, King K. Rool routinely changes size in his games. He could be scaled down effortlessly. Besides, Ridley's problem wasn't his size but his proportions. If you did shrink Ridley down, his limbs, head size and such wouldn't look right. K. Rool doesn't have this problem. In fact, he's roughly the same size as Bowser in Super Mario Sluggers, his last appearance.

Also, Donkey Kong is the exact same size as Diddy Kong in the original DKC games.

If they want to do it, they will. Size is the last problem.
Beside, Smash isn´t canon anyway.

I think its fake, in all honesty.
Its difficult to make a K rool moveset? This is coming from the same person who came up with :4gaw::4jigglypuff::4rob::4wiifit::4duckhunt::4villager:, characters with very little moveset to work with
Bandana Dee and Wolf sounded promising and I could tolerate Shovel Night's inclusion (even though I think there are better 3rd party chars to choose *cof cof*

Maybe i'm being a K Rool fanboy but i won't belive it until I see it.

Size issues? :4dedede::4kirby::4metaknight::4olimar::4alph::4rob: all say hi. "But they're small and it's easier to make a small character big than vice versa". :rosalina: says hi too. Supposed to be taller than :4ganondorf: but isn't in Smash. Plus :4bowser: fluctuates his size often and I'm too lazy to look up and compare but I'd be very surprised if :4charizard::4greninja::4jigglypuff::4lucario::4mewtwo: and :4pikachu: were their proper size.

Thankfully, size isn't an issue for Wolf. He's taller than Fox and they showed that in Brawl. He also had the smarts to duck when in idle to appear smaller and to avoid marginally more attacks.

Actually, that gets me thinking. Wolf had that limp-like walk and run in Brawl. I wonder if they'll change that at all. Granted Fox and Falco have their same walk and dash animations.

The company behind Shovel Knight has said they don't have any news about Shovel Knight for SM4SH and not to trust any rumor that's not coming from them to avoid false information.

Unless they're doing one heck of a tease with the Amiibo, I'm claiming that Shovel Knight for Smash is deconfirmed (is that the right word?). Now would've been an absolute perfect time to reveal him as a Smash Contestant but nope, no news of Smash so either they're really trolling us and will reveal him later or he is DEAD. But going back to Wolf, I played Brawl the other day and I notice how they made it so you can't spam his laser as much (further differing him from Fox and Falco) but I'm sure you already knew that...Wolf4DLC!

Sorry for the double post, but here's all the costumes, no Wolf:facepalm::glare: Although :4feroy::4ryu: are nowhere to be found either sooooooooo:smirk: DLC costumes Roy, Ryu, Wolf, Daisy. Unlike Smash DLC there's no excuse for not doing these, also it since its an 8-bit sprite, it could be done in a day.

Well it might just break the "99 costume" thing if they do add more slots into it...

To be fair I'm more fine with this situation, it's yet another "Wolf is hidden" shenanigan for one (doesn't break our current streak of Wolf not appearing in anything yet, may be a good or a bad thing), and if he got in anyway, there would be that unexplained weird situation I stated multiple times earlier.

Oh and no Krystal either!

But that Walker... omg... I predicted this happening lmao

And there's one thing I'm still confused about. Where is Wario in the list? :S The places are taken already, so he falls into the "Mario franchise" despite having his own "Warioware" franchise? :S

Well we gonna just move on and wait till Star Fox Zero.....

I just realized, no Classic Wario either, and there's an amiibo of Classic Wario coming out for the Mario series... well at least Mario Maker's easier to hack then smash bros.:ohwell: Though no Daisy, that's kind of sad, but this could be Waluigi's revenge for him getting kicked out of Mario Kart 7 for the honey queen, worst character in Mario Kart history also the reason I never play MK7.:glare:

Okay guys so in regards of the Clone argument that we shouldn't even be talking anymore, I've just now actually tested Fox and Kirby's cloneosity as I hear there are many people who has actually said it, and the result is... well it's not quite as promising, that actually.. Kirby is less cloney than Wolf. It's not surprising, but the thing is that they actually share like 4-5 moves. Wolf had 6-7, but yeah. Close enough? :S

And with that, I actually tried again with SSB, and there comes a surprising result: 31.5%. Which is higher than CF/Samus 64, and is really quite close to Kirby-Jiggs in Sm4sh (32.6%). I'm not really sure if I did any of the calculation and determination correctly, but here's the section I wrote to Toomai's page. Feel free to drop in and correct me. Again, I've already tried to argue for Wolf's special, but to no avail, ofc. I'm not sure if this even worth mentioning or whatnot, but it sure is an interesting discovery.

Now, I know Wolf appears in just special conditions for Nintendo. Nearly an irrelevant "villain"antihero for them. This can't be possible.

Done compiling, but I have to say... it really can't get anywhere accurate.

White: Confirmed numbering. These are taken from Mario Wiki.
Yellow: Logical Guess. Didn't have a source but this is the most likely outcome.
Bright Blue: Risky Guess (amiibo). This is assuming amiibo costume goes first.
Darker Blue: Risky Guess (non-amiibo). This is assuming non-amiibo costume goes last.
Green: Complete Guess. The order given in source contradicts with the official numbering.
Red: Complete Guess. Didn't even appear in source (text form of the video that is already taken down, the text itself also is taken down but I can still find it from cache)

So... :/
