Roy uses fire and actually has a vastly different looking moveset, Wario is completely different from Mario or Luigi, and doesn't look the same either.

You need to look beyond the flashy stuff.

Using an arm instead of a leg is far more different that two sword swings where the difference is just the addition of a fire effect.

Your post led me to believe you were talking about Roy's merits from Melee.
Roy is different in Smash 4, okay I'll give you that, he's still more of a clone than Wolf. If you cannot see the difference in the A moveset of Wolf and Fox, I literally cannot talk to you as I don't want to stoop down that low.

Yeah, I think Slippy being found in MM was the biggest deal for us as of now. Though I really wouldn't turn down a Slippy amiibo.

I really like this idea. It also kind of fits Wolfs aggressive/feral nature. The move itself encourages aggression (and makes it easier to do so) since the stat increases only last for a limited time.

I like reflector, but I'd be totally down, and maybe even prefer, this move if it ever happened.

But yeah, the chances of Wolf getting new specials is very low, if not outright zero if Lucas and other semi-clones are any indication among other things like time constraints.

I'm sure you wouldn't be saying that about Roy before was even revealed. To most he looked like Marth with a fire sword, much like your "Wolf looks like a slower Fox" mentality. Wolf is different enough in the same vain as Roy now is, and could be made even more different with additional development time devoted to him like Roy had (but he is already different enough if you ask me).

Sakurai literally said that Wolf took about 70% of the work a normal character would, meaning he's only about 30% clone, the article was posted like 2 days ago and it's on the smashboards homepage. It's impossible to deny that Wolf is a semi-clone at the very most.

Well, to be fair that was just in reference to his body type. It was easy for the team to build Wolf's model off of Fox's like how Jigglypuff was built off of Kirby in the original. That doesn't necessarily mean Wolf was added solely for the purpose of being a semi-clone, but it is obvious he has elements derived from Fox into his character.

His specials, obviously, are shared. But different enough for them to be unique in their own way, like Lucas, Roy, etc.
His normals are pretty vastly different, visually anyways. Which is what most people care about, so he's definitely no clone in that regard.

Anyways! Ignoring that ignorance, I thought of something at work today. To my knowledge, most, if not every meteor/spike in Brawl got a sourspot added in Sm4sh if it didn't already have one. The main one that comes to mind is Ganon's dair though I'm unsure on a lot of them and I'm pretty sure Luigi's down taunt is still a pure meteor/spike. In regards to this, what do you guys think will happen to Wolf's dair in Sm4sh? He could keep the pure meteor or he could get a horizontal sourspot like Falcon, Ganon and I think Falco? Or he could get a vertical one like Mewtwo...pretty sure it's vertical anyways. Or maybe it'll get completely changed.

is best character in Sm4sh! Until Wolf comes along anyways... Tho I admit Shulk is very very cheap Shh..

My Wolf and Super Mario Maker thoughts:
- If Wolf doesn't appear in Super Mario Maker, his future will be unclear in both Smash and popularity terms.
- If Wolf is actually an unlockable costume via amiibo, then he will definately have an amiibo, and possibly joining Smash.
- If Wolf is an unlockable via mistery costume, then we know he won't have amiibo, and his Smash chances will be lowered a little more.

But I heard someone said DLC amiibo won't be compatible?

That discovery is that his posts always end with cliffhangers.
