Posting this from my cousin's computer. I was v/la since yesturday and will continue to be until tomorrow due to the fact that I'm up in Jacksonville with my grandparents for Turkey day. I brought my computer but am having trouble getting it to link up to the internet.

Hey SDO, if I asked you to list some scumteams that were VERY unlikely, who would you list off for me?

haha, I thought you were making a reference to AM mafia where I listed pretty much all the combos I thought were possible, but made the mistakes of thinking there were only 2 scum and I ignored what I thought was least likely and then turned out to be wrong.

And no, those were just the teams that came to mind when reading certain things. There are other possibilities obviously but I don't know right now.

Well here's something I wanted to talk about. This game has partial flips. That means that if we have an important role like Cop get killed before claiming, we'll never know they were cop. That means scum might get a chance later to claim cop without a CC.

I've been weighing the pros and cons of having the Cop claim toDay. What do you guys think?

Pros:
-less likely for there to be a fake cop claim
-can potentially get a clear toDay from the cop, and another clear from their N1 target
-good Doc target, won't be targeted by any negative town roles

Cons:
-can have results messed with by scum starting toNight
-idk

If the cop claims, doc will be forced onto them, leaving myself and Adum more vulnerable to NK's.

However, if you are the cop and have a guilty, you are to claim immediately (possible exception of having a guilty on the lynch target). Do not wait another day (same goes for tracker/watcher on a death). Feel free to pressure your target before the claim. There is no point having the cop claim when we only have 1 inno, especially if someone dumb has cop.

Although we don't know what roles we've lost - scum don't either. This will horrifically impact their night actions - they can't be ballsy.

Your 'con' of scum night actions is definitely reason enough, by itself, not to do this.

D3, cop can claim. 3 innos, or 2 and a guilty is good.

My only problem with the idea is the fact that we may not have a doctor. I don't want to throw away our cop.

As far as partial flips go, I have been thinking about it too and weighing the idea of mass claiming earlier than would be done in other games. This way, scum can't hide behind the fake claims that they can craft due to partial flips, and we can be sure what we lose when Night Kills occur. If not toDay, we should definitely consider mass claiming toMorrow.

JTB claimed Vanilla Townie.
Tery soft-claimed Vanilla at one point and Ryker confirmed it, but then later he claimed to be the cop. I'm pretty sure he was Vanilla, though.

What happens if scum and town claim the same roll? We won't know who's telling the truth.

That's why we make a list of the order we want everyone to claim in. If we make scummier players claim first, then town can counter claim them.

If two people claim the same role we'll know one of them is scum, pretty much. That's a good thing for us.

If we were to massclaim toDay, this would be the order I would want:

That's why I was hesitant of my result as well and didn't out it right away. I thought adum looked pretty townie as well. I crumbed my result a bit earlier though, I can find it if you would like.

I'm still not sure about adum. As I said in D1, he could go one of two ways. Asides from the early game banter with me, I have found myself agreeing with things he has said. He has the same top scum suspects as me, too. I'd have to be completely insane to clear him, though, because he's been established as one of the big names, and you never know with them. It's a similar story for Swiss, for obvious reasons, but

I said I would have to be insane to clear him. This is because of my guilty result, meaning if I were insane it would mean he was innocent and I could clear him. My sanity is unconfirmed, though, so I figured being insane is always a possibility.

I also crumbed in D1 that I would be targeting him. It was when I said "adum is looking much more hostile than he was in the newbie game. It is something I'm going to be loooking at" or something along those lines.

There is no way it's a legit report.


I've seen town and scum fakeclaim cop and pass it off as a gambit during the day phase. I've seen scum fakeclaim cop and after the lynch say it was a gambit, and just once, I saw town do this as well. It's an ongoing game that I'm hydraing in for mafiascum, but you have more then enough info to find it.


I like my vote where it is for now, for the rest I'll take a wait and see attitude.
