pictochat is awesome
you can use downb during certain transformations to restrict your opponents movement, or to hit them into the damaging stage changes.

when the vertical spikes come out, then its downb's time to shine

The only reason I like Pictochat is because of the occasional potential for down tilt locks, and because of the corners on the edges (which allow DK to hug the wall with his up+b when recovering, such that it becomes grounded when he comes over). I do enjoy picking the stage against friends, but I probably wouldn't do it in a tournament.

I'd probably pick Mansion or Japes against everyone, depending on which one is banned.

Only exception I can think of is Falco, in which Brinstar is probably the best choice (assuming Mansion is banned. Do NOT pick Japes against Falco)

I've actually never played a DK on Luigi's mansion, I'll have to try that out.

Well, I myself am the best local Falco. Playing both characters, I can safely say that Falco's advantages there far outweigh DK's.

In the last tournament I was at, one Falco player tried to counterpick Japes against my DK. I just ditto'd him with Falco and the result wasn't pretty.

I do well with Japes until I come to spammy opponents, in which case Mansion or Brinstar work perfectly. Nothing like DownB locking an opponent on Mansion.

I love Japes so much but I will have to give Mansion a try...

I often survive to the 200s on neutral stages so I shouldn't ever die on Mansion lol

also you can use luigis mansions cielings for a guaranteed dsmash
grab>cargo>uthrow>dsmash

the only way they can escape it is if they tech the ceiling

this also works on yoshis island (melee) on the yellow blocks

Junge Japes all the way, you cannot be gimped or killed ff the top 80% of the time.. While you can tkill off the top too well, you can gimp many with bairs on the eft side and get spike kills and even a Stagespike >> Sweet.

Another stage I discovered is godly for DK is... Shadow Moses.. I know that stage will probably neveer be seen in tournament play but it deserves to be called the DK moses... The only way to kill there is ver the top.. And there like 3 levels of plataforms to abuse and the ceiing is very low... DK also refuses to die from the top most of the time.

There's I think, 6 places where you can dtilt infinite against a wall, its so easy its not even funny >>. AAlso DK has the easiest time breaking any of the walls if you wish to get side Kills, preferably at higher percents... So in other words, you control the entire flow of the match here... Im pretty sure you can get grounded UP'bs on any of the platforms... The handsalp is also effecitve because of the flatness.

I know its not useful info.But if you ever ant to win a casual, or just a practice match and somehow end up here, DKis gonna own it >> The only character with a higher advantage than DK has to be.. Snake himself, other than him, ownage.

Just now i realized that pictochat is hella fun, bc it takes DK´s cargo to max of usefullness....
Also I like Norfair, IDK which characters there have a advantage, but I officially name it the DK bair stage!
It´s great bc
- you can always approach under the opponent with uair or bair,
- DK kills really early on the side plattforms, you can use fair good for this.
- you dont have to worry as much about the vertical boost you get from upB
- cargo people in the lava
- in the "capsule" you can use grounded upB or downB really good to damage the opponent.
