Well here's hoping you get one soon.

All the people experiencing problems with getting the game, I feel for you. In London however, I have never experienced problems getting games on launch date.

So has anyone been able to pick up SMG at GameStop today? I'm starting to regret pre-ordering it there.
Attention!

This isn't a GameStop thing, this is a retail thing. When a game is released, there are two options: it is shipped and streetdated for a later date or it is just shipped on it's release date. If it is streetdated, then they can only sell it on that day. If it is shipped on it's release day, then they can sell it whenever they recieve it.

Galaxy is a ship on release day game. It was released and shipped today. It will show up at retailers in the next day's shipment most of the time. Therefore, most all retailers will not have Galaxy until tomorrow afternoon.

If you are worried Brawl might share the same fate, it will if it is not streetdated.

It's not their fault. Most any retailer will not have a copy of the game. I know it sucks, but only a lucky few will get it before tomorrow.
I would have gotten it in walmart, but I wanted the collecter coin for some reasion lol.

Yeah, this is true. I still call negligence on Nintendo's part though. By that logic, Nintendo would have had to put a street date on SMG, as well as a regular old ship/release day.

It just doesn't make sense that some stores have had the game for at least a week and some are just getting it today, while some have been selling it for a week already and some aren't "allowed" to sell it until tomorrow (i.e. Best Buy stores claim that they have the game in stock but can't sell it, while other BBs have been selling it since last week.). I just hope they work out this problem before Brawl comes out. I would be mighty upset if some people were able to get Brawl a week or two before everyone else and start spoiling (as we can be sure will happen). Plus, it's just not fair to the masses.

The funny thing is that wr have 88 days till brawl. Updates. 88 days - weekends= 60 something - already seen items & new items = 40 something - old characters = 30 something. 30 GOOD updates. We cant compare brawl just yet . Dont forget about stages & move sets & story mode things. DANG. like only 10 GREAT updates.

I just looked at a toys r us mgazine in the recycling bin. It said SUPER MARIO GALAXY in stores tuesday.
If only my mom hadn't thrown it out i would have known.
Ps: it also confirms that toys r us is giving 25$ gift cards with galaxy

I approve of the first Bowser stage. The stage itself was a decent throwback to the Super Mario 64 stages, with a good mix of the Galaxy gameplay elements. The Bowser battle itself was a lot more involved and epic than the battles in Super Mario 64.

I would just like to request that the lucky people who got Galaxy today keep t as spoiler free as possible. Or at least put spoiler tags around them. Not that maxpower spoiled anything, just saying.

I was gonna say... I didn't THINK I ruined anything. So far I haven't seen a whole lot of material that I didn't already see in trailers or reviews, but it's still different when you get to play it.

Up to about 21 stars now. I need to slow down >_<

That's what I'm concerned about aswell. When I got Zelda TP, I finished it very quickly partly because it I was obsessed lol.

I want to take my time with Galaxy.

Yes it will. Why? Well thats simple. 2 words. Replay value. I think we can all agree that most of us will find ourselves playing brawl a lot more than Galaxy. Not saying a adventure Mario game doesn't have replay value cuz Mario World,Mario Bros. 3, and Mario 64/Mario 64 DS can still be played and enjoyed for years to come.

I guarantee I will be playing Galaxy just as long as Brawl.

Also the day of Galaxy's European release also happens to be Miyamoto's birthday.

My local gamestop and toy r us didn't have it, they said they'd have it between the 13 and the 22nd.

I said screw it and was going to purchase fire emblem at Circuit City and they had it.

Believe the hype.

I have 20 stars so far.

This game is better than SM64 in every single way. @_@ The physics in this game are amazing, and it doesn't complicate itself with needless stuff, it just throws levels at you and lets you have fun.

You know how in Sunshine they only had a couple places, and tons of shines to get there, even if you don't really like the place? Galaxy has none of that. A ****load of levels with just a few stars here and there, to keep the variety interesting. It's way better.

I agree completely. I was skeptical at first to see a ton of galaxies with just one star, but now I think it's better that way.

The variety in your objectives really is to be commended, and there is just a ton of good, old school platforming. I'm fairly happy with the difficulty as well.

Nobody said it's better than Brawl, we are simply enjoying the game and appreciating it for what it is; a magnificent game that's better than Super Mario 64 in almost every conceivable way. It's a great reason to have a Wii as of now. I had purchased a Wii for Metroid Prime 3 and was thoroughly satisfied, but if I had gotten one now, my thrill would be at a much higher level.

Hmm, I still haven't beaten Mario 64.

Dang 100-coin missions....that's all I have left!

Thank you God (aka Miyamoto) for not incuding them in Galaxy!
