I think it's pretty lame that Sonic / Snake are bunched up with Olimar and Falcon.

Why not make a Third party group and a Captain group?

I actually don't like it that I have so many 2 groups.... I would prefer for there to be between 3 to 4 characters per section. The Zelda crew is perfect at 5, it will be a nice long video, but we have 2 Fire Emblem, 2 Earth Bound, 2 Donkey Kong Country, 2 Metroid and then you are suggesting 2 third party character and 2 Captains. That will make for a grand total of 6 sperate videos featuring 2 characters. I don't like that..... there needs to be some combining going on.
I'll get some ideas and post the new organization thoughts and let people vote on what they think is the best.

I would like to take this time to say that if anyone has any suggestions please post them.

I suggest you just constantly remind people about what I quoted.

I would like to thank everyone for helping me so far. I have received about 10 or 11 PM's + what is in here. If things keep on going this way then I will be swamped with footage in a week. This is a good thing. lol

I will be ripping with any video converter pro.
I will not be editing, the clips should be wow enough so that it does not need any help. Now I will try and sync the vids to the music, but that will be it.
The only thing that might have editing is the intro, which will be discussed by the community.

I want the foe to be good. I don't want any "check me out! I'm destroying my 8 year old sister" videos. I am watching more of the video than just the part with the combo to make sure it is legit.

That song is hard to sync with. lol
What makes the combo video is how good the contents of the clip is and what song you use. Then it is just a challenge of getting the clips to sync with the song.
What I will need for the video is something like Tal Tal Heights Remix. I swear that song is a combo video god send. To bad we can't use it.


My vote for the reorganization of the segments is.....

It is the best balanced and it doesn't have a single segment that only has 2 characters. I'm telling you guys, you don't want to have just two characters in a single segment....

I need to start getting back into brawl...

All characters can have some epic comboage, but the problem is that some characters' combos are boring and common. You need to focus on something that is only WOW!!! and nothing that could even be considered boring... MK and a couple others are too common. Snake can have wow factor. Marth is just go to Mr. R...

Kirby is boring... Trust me.
Gabon has basically no comboage, and if he does it's all luck based.

The Melee community often does it wrong too, but with Brawl, calling it a combo video is always a blatant misuse of the word. Literally every other fighting game community defines it this way, and it distinguishes a difference between a string of hits that an inept opponent simply failed to defend properly and an attempt to maximize guaranteed damage after combo-starting hits by stringing together attacks within hitstun.

Without hitstun, you guys don't have combos (most of the time)... call them something different.

Yeah, I was expecting this to get mixed feed back. Mainly the Melee mains trashin on the idea and sayin "combos? lol". I don't think they realize that they're getting a bad rep for trashin Brawl so much. The community is going to become divided.

The Mario side kicks and villains segment will probably have 1 or 2 songs. I see it being dominated by a Donkey Kong Country song.
The FE, EB and Metroid segment will be broke up into 3 smaller combo videos each with their own game specific music.
The Retro and Post Retro has no choice but to go with the best song from one of their 4 games. I see a F-Zero song and MGS song being used for Post Retro and maybe Shi No Numa for Retro. IDK, Kid Icarus and G&W all have bad music. lol, ROB doesn't even have music. So an actual smash song might be used for them.


That's the way things will probably end up going.
