anything like that, that has to do with the wii itself doing anything more or less is not possible to my understanding.

Darn. I was hoping there was a chance it was similar to PC games. Some games have codes that make the computer worker harder than it needs to to retrieve something from the harddrive, making it take longer to load something. These are usually patched with more efficient codes that help the game run faster.
Entirely different platform, I know, but I was holding some hope inside that maybe Brawl had one such code that was causing the Wii to load slower than it could actually read. Hoping that it read the disc fast enough, but a poor code was what slowed down the loading process.

Well, hopefully there's still a chance... with time.

when the wii loads characters initially in a match, it starts doing so well before you start. when you use the button activated character switch, your character gets unloaded and a new one loads IN THE EXACT SAME TIME AS THE ZELDA/SHIEK, POKEMON TRAINER, SAMUS/ZAMUS TRANSFORMATIONS.

no matter what you do, you can't really shorten the time to load the characters, perhaps only a very fraction could be taken off by removing the animation of transforming, but it still isn't noticeable.

How do I work the my music code? Also is it possible to make it so that all the stages play all of the songs?

Download this and put it where your original Gecko OS 1.07b was. BAM! Problem solved. (You need to get rid of the boot.elf and replace it with the boot.dol given in the zip file).

You CAN make all stages play all of the songs, but it is a different hack and it really isn't recommended, as changes are permanent, and there is a possibility of a screwed save (MY MUSIC MODIFIER HACK).

As for the regular MUSIC MODIFIER code, just fill in the variable for Music replaced & replaced with. It should be as follows:

XXXX= Music that will play instead (replaced with)

As for an example, I place Green Hill Zone ID (27F2) on XXXX. Now whenever you play on ANY stage, you will hear Green Hill music from Sonic's stage. I would recommend setting up button activators if you want to hear more than one type of music.

Does not work online. It does, however, change the screen to a regular Black Result stage for both, but that is all the other player (s) will see (No victory taunts for them either).

All right, so I'm not allowed to ask questions on the main thread, and I can't ask how to start.

I'm gonna do it anyway. What do I need to know to start hacking? I know I need a USBGecko and the basics, but what about coding? I want to do extremely extensive amounts of coding and not make a Melee 2.0.

Whyyyyyyyyyyyyy?

Alrighty, every single time that I start up my Shield Cancel code, the loading screen starts for a while then BAM freezes.
I have three codes on.
No tripping, Shield Cancel, and Melee Aidodge 2.1 (Or whatever the latest v is.)

I hope your region is US and I hope you have the codes entered properly, it might be human error on your part because all three of those codes work together JUST fine for me and everybody else.

Thanks for all your work thus far, quick question;

Are there any codes that will give me all characters and all stages?

Like, just the basics of both (although more stages would be nice) 'cause I'm in PAL and have to do epic things to use hack brawl (US). I hence do not have any characters on my US save.

Thanks.

Gangsta, don't post new/real codes in the support thread. There is a code thread.

In the code thread, you are only allowed to post new codes and nothing else.

The support thread is to answer questions about codes

Only if your addressing a part of the code for the aide, there is no point of posting a code in the support thread.

well this thread's purpose was MOSTLY for reducing the things posted on the main thread. I'm not really putting much restriction on this except that i ask for new code to be posted on the main thread before posting it here. but if anyone has something to say at all about brawl hacks, it's much better to post it here, than on the code thread.

I believe those BOSS values were untested. Sure, you can FIND the IDs for the Boss characters, but that doesn't necessarily mean it will work outside of Boss Battles (or their set stages for that matter).

Either that, or something fishy is going on here. I really don't trust those values, but oh well. That's just my opinion.

Well, might as well confirm this:

Boss IDs do NOT work.
They never will. Who knows how or why these values showed up, but they are useless. Spam for your code collection.

I moved my move-swap codes into one convenient code if anyone wants to use that. all i did was find the inique character moveset IDs in the first row represented by "YYYY" they are the only unique digits on the first row. hopefuly this helps some people that dont want a code for every character.

Is there a code that let you play a certain song on a certain stage, like for example to play the Final Destination song in Battlefield and not in any other stage. If so, please tell me and thanks. ^_^

I'm very surprised I haven't been able to find a code that alters the game speed. It seems like it would be a very simple code though.

Speedy brawl is a bit too fast to be really playable. It would be pretty awesome to have something in between normal and speedy.
