The Gaijin-developed, Aksys-published Bit.Trip: Beat is a rhythm-based WiiWare game in which you rotate your Wii Remote to control an on-screen paddle and bat away colored blocks to music. As blocks hit your paddle, they create sound effects of their own that blend into the "pumping" tunes.

According to the magazine, good timing is crucial, because you'll need to deflect blocks in sync with the soundtrack. Play well, and the visuals become "flashier." Play poorly, and the visuals lose their color, and the sounds dwindle down to mere, simple bleeps. Throughout the three levels (each of which has a boss battle), the block invasions become more complex. Finally, there'll be a four-player co-op mode, and five other releases in the series to look forward to.

Kinda bizarre. It's pretty interesting to hear about another "presumably" hardcore title being dev'd exclusively for wii. "The Conduit" being the other. I hope they both perform well, and we start to see a new trend of hardcore wii games in addition to unchecked slew of WiiFail.

The game will have a modern look. This German has a Modern Combat Helmet and modern shades. Conduit promo? Most likely not but maybe a new shooter as well.

Anyway, this looks really really cool. Incredibly creepy, but cool. Let's hope that this game doesn't just fall under the radar and disappear completely.

Actually we're lucky this piece was known. IGN was shifting through SPAM and such and this caught their eye. They opened the mail and got this. Now we got a mysterious trailer.

Also i know this isn't the conduit. I meant that we might get another Modern Shooter/ Modern Alien Shooter/Neo Nazi shooter in 09. Maybe it isn't a shooter but a shoot em up.

EDIT: creepy thing about the last bit of the trailer these guys get dragged and blasted into oblivion.

Anyway, I'm waiting for a donwloadable version of this video to pop up on the internet. Then I'll look through it frame by frame to look for something video game-esque. According to IGN, part of the video in the box the german guys found had a frame from the actual game.

No that the voyager disk. Actually when you think about it Beast wars did a time travel. The disk was launched in the 80's yet they landed on earth prehistorically. The disk was one of the messages NASA sent out in case they where picked up by extraterrestrial life.

Looked interesting, oh and now the titles has changed to "Only a Man" so we can assume it will have something to do with the consequences of an over-curious mind and the things we aren't meant to know about the universe. Or something along the lines. Oh and it will involve Da Vinci.

We really shouldn't be praising this game as the Wii's savior just yet, for one it's doesn't even have a name so we have no idea what it is. And second of all this is a Live Action Game Trailer it depicts nothing involving the game so we have no clue what to expect.

And it's not the Wiis saviour, as i really doubt the Wii's reputation cvan be saved form the events from April-now(although the PS3 survived a longer drought and came out fine...)

Don't expect a savior. It's just an average year after a phenominal one. Just look back for now.

Or if you have the patience, Mad World and Pokemon Platinum both come out in March.

The PS3 had legit games coming - MGS4 and FF13. Those two games kept a lot of the PS3 fanbase content as "things will get better." With the Wii, there isn't much. It's sad that I still play Mario Kart because that's the only game I can enjoy.

We weren't praising it, we were making guesses of what the game would be about and discussing the images in the uhm...rock T.V.

I don't recall anybody mentioning the quality of the trailer though...

It's more of a teaser than a trailer. You know how trailers depict what the game will look like, either with Gameplay or CGI at least some kind of general idea of how the game will look when you play it.

Teasers are well...to tease you...so yeah it's gonna be kind of random and unknown because it was just a teaser trailer.
