Why does day affect Brawl more? Because more Brawl players are casuals. We have a massive number of Brawlers in NC who just aren't competitive enough to drive more than an hour for a tournament anyways. Certainly a lot of them would rather go on a Saturday than Sunday.
But... why do we care?
If Melee players are usually dedicated enough to travel larger distances or be more active, why should we relegate them to a less-convenient day?
And as much Melee travels from OOS as Brawl. Especially for bigger tournaments.
Finally, if Brawl has and always will have more entrants, why in the world do you care about making that number bigger? So Brawl takes even LONGER to run? Melee's always been a bit behind on entrants and there's no reason to kill its potential to grow by throwing it on Sunday.

I'm actually just already mad angry about my parental situation after Omni's so I'm just posting ranty menstrual shiz off the top of my head.
Alex Featheringill you are a prick and all you care about it Brawl and your little tardy OOS players shoved in a smelly bus to come camp with MK and Snake for 28 hours because that's how long Brawl singles will take with this many entrants, maybe if you picked Melee back up like you actually had more than half a ball you wouldn't have to keep bluffing and talking like I'm an infinitely inferior player even though I'm power ranked and you're not and I beat you at B+

I didn't get mad at omni for not having melee at his tournament, stingers. I asked him if I could bring melee and he said sure. If he had said no, I wouldn't have gone. If he had said "Yeah, but no guarantees you'll get to play it because we might need the TV for brawl", I would have had to think about it. But I'd never think of getting mad at him.

Brawl is already popular here.
Stingers just wants it to be even more of a focus.
Trying to convince an already very talented and experienced TO that their arrangement is wrong with completely biased reasoning is not "trying to make it more popular".
If he wants to do that, he can do what was already suggested: host more tournaments.
After I had stopped trying to develop Brawl+ but saw that others had progressed it to a playable game, I didn't ask any other TO's to try to run it - I started my own tournament series to popularize it. Took a while, but look how that worked?
Sometimes you actually have to get off your back and do some work to get what you want.

To a certain extent I agree but the whole run your own tournaments thing is a little unfair of a request to make considering not all players (especially those that still live at home can do that). The whole "you should move thing" is an even more ridiculous solution. No offense gfog, I have just never liked that argument.

He meant that when he was unhappy about Omni not holding Melee he dealt with the problem himself and didn't question the host or suggest any changes.

Clearly GofG was exaggerating to make a point. He's just saying that Stingers needs to do something himself.
And Stingers has already run a tournament. For him, it's not an unfair request. He probably has a far easier time running tournaments than I did/do with my parents.

Almost every tournament after Brawl came out has had both Melee and Brawl. Also not a good argument.

You only went DK in maybe 4 or 5 of them... and I beat you in more than half with only Falcon, who is terrible online.

just put melee and brawl on saturday. people have school on monday (sp does). we don't even have pr's for brawl+ yet. why risk the attendence for the two games that are obviously more important. plus i love hanging at bills on saturday night. sunday i cant.
