The good, the bad and the ugly, The Seven Samurai, Singin' in the rain...

I wouldn't say more since I haven't watched all the 'great movies' and stuff.

I loved Toy Story. My favorite movie. Too bad we lost our VHS copy. A Bug's Life was good, too. Anything 90's Pixar for that matter, the released some incredible movies back in the day.

While this is a fine list, there are some startling omissions.

First off, the absence of The Princess Bride from action/adventure is a crime against good taste in movies. If you haven't seen it, fix that. Then, fix this list.

Also, Dogma and Jay and Silent Bob, but no Clerks? I'd definitely put Clerks over J+SB, and it's close to Dogma.

The Best Movie Ever Created, you ask? Retroactively, I've been compiling lists of 25-40 movies I want to see for each year before I die. The 1982 list is still in progress. Starting with 2000, I've also listed movies I want to avoid. I'll just list five of those good movies from this decade, and I can send you these lists in a PM if you're interested. Four movies I'm interested in are: Gladiator (2000), The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003), The Departed (2006), No Country for Old Men (2007), and The Dark Knight (2008).

UPADTE: StinkomanFan, you posted after I did, and I must say: That was a joke post, right?

Edit: Don't you think you judge films too quickly without giving it a fair chance? Go and watch it. It's far better than what you'd think it would be.

The original Sandlot is the best movie ever

Or Monty Python and the Holy Grail. =D

And I must say, someone said Brave Little Toaster on the first page and it brought back many memories XD

The Modern Classics

American: There Will Be Blood, Departed, Doubt, Ratatoulie (the only great Pixar movie)
British: Children of Men
Hispanic: Motorcycle Diaries, Pans Labyrinth,
French: Delicatessen, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, La Vie en rose
Japanese: The collective works of Hayao Miyazaki, Old Boy

These are the only ones I can think of as of now.

Ratatoulie (the only great Pixar movie)
I just saw this and it floored me. It seems like all I do in this thread is kiss Pixar's feet, but they're really a superb company. Toy Story, Wall-E, The Incredibles, and Up not great? Bullpucky, I say! Though Wall-E is overrated.

In my opinion, Pixar is the best movie company today. Their worst movie hands down was Cars, and it was still decent.

Ratatouillie was incredible, though. Floored me as well.

Cars was utterly boring. I just about fell asleep on it. Didn't like Finding Nemo. Nemo's constant whining and dorry in general made me not like it.

I'd have to say Fight Club, Plup Fiction and my personal favorite, Army of Darkness. For a Pixar movie, I pick WallE.

Note, these are my choices

One of the best movies ever created was Hitman.

Timothy Olymphant played that part perfect and it followed exactly how the game was designed and ment to be played.

Yep that one big question...

What IS the Best movie EVER?

In my opinon its Shawshank Redemption...

Close ones are American History X, Gladiator, Wanted, and Dark Knight ...

What do you think?
It's rare for people to say Shawshank. But it's such a good movie. I can watch it any times it's on.
