Best Character To Play With A Hand/Arm Injury?

Ok, I recently fractured my right wrist from skateboarding. So then, I had a cast put around my whole forearm. The doctor said I had to keep it on for 6 weeks, it's been a few days and I'm bored just watching TV at home and playing Melee at a ridiculous level.

So far I'm too slow to use the C-stick with nearly all the characters and it's pretty hard for me to WaveDash because my palm is elevated from the Controller (I can still L cancel though). Thus losing flexibility and reach of my thumb and index finger to do most things, so I'm definatelly not fit to use Fox, Falco or any other character that requires nimble fingers and flashy tech skill.

So who should I use in my condition to play? So far I've been thinking Puff and Kirby, because there usually aerial orientated characters and don't really need to use WD that much.

I broke my left wrist a while back and couldn't play melee and it sucked. I still could kind of I guess but I couldn't really do what I was used to (I main fox and falco) and playing wasn't worth it really.

maybe use peach though... I dunno.

dude, i know how you feel. december 15, i broke my right thumb. got the cast off today.

what i did was shift my pointer finger to c-stick, middle for a/b, ring for x and z. L for shield.

this negatively impacted my grabbing, but actually made everything else easier.

i played pikachu/marth in the interim (pika cause he doesn't have much grab game and marth cause thats who i normally plya)
