I think this match really shows how this new metagame is more focused on team building than actual battling skills.

Chok was just lucky enough to have the right Pokemon on his team that could exploit Riddle's team weakness... In this case a SD Speed Boost Blaziken. There was nothing he could do after the SD.

Not trying to say you didn't deserve the win Chok. You did quite well!

I think it's the other way around. If Blaziken had Hi Jump Kicked, it would have most likely been killed by Landlos. If Blaziken had Swords Danced while Vaporeon used Boiling Water, he would have taken a lot of damage. It was prediction.

I think it's the other way around. If Blaziken had Hi Jump Kicked, it would have most likely been killed by Landlos. If Blaziken had Swords Danced while Vaporeon used Boiling Water, he would have taken a lot of damage. It was prediction.

Whether he got the SD on his Vappy or not he still had other opportunities to get a SD in. In fact just a moveset of SD, Blaze Kick, HJK, and Shadow Claw would rip his team to shreds, or at least put a huge dent in it.

It was a good move by Chok, but in the long run it was simply the fact that Riddle's team just happened to be SD Blaziken weak (which are rare cause nobody hardly ever uses Blizeken seriously).

Blaziken sucks, he's so easy to beat. If Riddle had put Psycho Shock on Latios he would've taken care of most of Chok's team easily.

A lot of people don't like using Psycho Shock mostly because of Bulk Up Roobushin.

It's okay. People have learned how to play around it so it's not nearly as effective as it was in the earlier stages of the metagame.

Psycho Shock still destroys Bulk Up Roobushin. It's easily a 2HKO. And what is Roob going to do back? Payback will kill but it won't give it a chance to Bulk Up if it hasn't already. Stone Edge will probably miss. Drain Punch and Mach Punch won't do much, even if Guts'd. Unless Latios comes in on a Roob that's already +2, Psycho Shock will kill it no matter what.

The only excuse to not run Psycho Shock in this format is Tyranitar, not Bulk Up Roobushin.
