If not cockiness then unnecessary gloating. That was within the last like 3 pages I'm sure there's more.

Probably bugs me more than anyone else here but still I just don't like people that rub stuff like this in other people's faces. Sue me.
I make predictions about basketball scores and keep getting them right, of course im gonna make Ms Cleo jokes and stuff. Jane posted before that "bow down" post SAYING he was "bowing down" to me. It just seems to me like you are being soft and cant handle any kind of trash talk/jokes. You're acting like I said "Dallas is going to win, haha I told you guys, yalls teams suck and cant beat Dallas, im confident we are gonna win"
Yeah...wasn't really a cocky statement. We've had these avis on for like a month now after all.

EDIT: The second statement was made about him predicting the games right.
This
You'd be glad to know TRG that Suspect told me in person that he doesn't think Dallas can beat Miami.
and This

which was said yesterday

Some trash talk here in there is fair game but most of my dislike of gloating comes from the amount of trash talk I get (was getting) at school for being a Heat fan.

Especially after the 9-8 start the Heat had in the regular season. I wasn't getting "trash talk" I was literally getting harassed constantly. There was even one day where I thought about leaving school early like it was THAT bad. Ever since then I've just had a major disdain for constant trash talk when the person on the receiving end is already upset in the first place cause I know how it feels.

I didn't know you knew TBO in person though so I didn't know you two were just messing around... No hard feelings.

I've never been a fan of trash talking, despite the fact I've played competitive basketball for so many years. Always been a fan of let the game speak for you kinda person. As a fan though, I've always taken the humble approach, good and bad.

To be quite honest, the only reason I don't trash talk is if my team loses...I LOOK REALLY STUPID. As much as I want the Mavs to win, if they lose to whoever down the road...I am gonna be trolling my friends who are Mavs fans so hard.

What's pissing me off the most right now is that people are making the stupid MJ and Kobe comparisons. "MJ would never have gotten swept" or "MJ would never let his team down like this". There are just some things a player alone can't control. More frustrating to see people not label Kobe as a top 10 player afer this.

With my kind of sense of humor, If I trash talk and my team loses or I end up wrong? I can still laugh it off and be like "Damn, you were right, you got me"

I do it in brawl all the time lol

I really don't care about you Suspect, but one of my friends is still joking about "Lakers in 9" or "Are the Lakers gonna start trying now?". He's probably the only reason I would want to see the Mavs lose.

Same time, I don't want to see Boston or Miami win it all either...Go Chicago!

LOL some people will never understand the concept that basketball is a TEAM sport.

Suspect taking chances with his luck by changing his avi.

@TRG, yeah I agree. MJ would always yell at his teammates...you can't tell me that would get Gasol going. He would probably end up crying and use his sponsored Charmin Tissue Paper.

Yeah, I went on the ESPN boards to see how people were reacting and it was pretty bipolar. Half the "fans" were saying they were happy to see bynum do the hard foul while many people on the other side were basically talking about how Kobe is no longer a top 10 player (which is a completely stupid idea). Kobe has guaranteed his place in the top 10.

Larry is still better though :p

I would have been fine if the hard foul was clean, but that elbow was total BS. I'm a big fan of physical basketball, but that was uncalled for.

I hope the Lakers can reload next year and be competitive. It might be a while before they win it all, and I don't know what the CBA will bring. Nice to see the young talent rising in the league, but Gasol will need to rediscover his manhood next season. If there is some fighting going on between teammates due to issues, someone is gonna have to get traded.

Hell as long as Miami makes it to the Finals I won't mind who they lose to... As long as they beat Chicago and Boston in the process.

People are saying Bryan Shaw, but I don't want an inexperienced head coach to command a team on its last years. I'd like Rick Adelman. Guys is pretty creative.

LOL at Bynum using the world "salty"

"I was just kind of salty about being embarrassed"

lol, nice sig, bored.

as far as trash talking goes, it all depends on how one goes about it. there are cocky *** mother****ers that really think theyre superior and THAT i cant stand.

then theres like, light hearted, "for the fun of it" trash talk. thats what i was getting from suspect's trash talk.

WOW just saw those fouls by Bynum and Odom. Lemme just say **** those whiny *****-*** sore losers. Hell, I hate Kobe more than any of them but at least he doesn't go around hitting people when he loses. If Bynum wants to test free agency he just hurt his stock.

^The Miami Heat would GLADLY pick up Bynum anger issues or not.

You guys do know that the Heat were looking at EDDY CURRY a little while ago right? Yeah they're that desperate for any decent Center.

Hawks would get destroyed by Boston/Miami.

Speaking of Boston and Miami...Miami has a good chance eto win this game if it can take advantage of Rondo's dangling arm.

I can't see Miami trying hard enough to win. Maybe if Udonis comes back and gets some minutes...

Re: Bynum: It was bound to happen when you develop with Fisher, Odom, Barnes, and Artest. Lots of hella dirty players on that team.

Rose has played like crap this postseason save 1 game. Like, they lose nothing with him on the bench. I wish I could find postseason +/- numbers to back that up. Anyone have them?

Sup Basketball people... Anyways, love Basketball, played it my whole life. I had a few offers to D2 schools, but I decided to get an education since I won't be making a living off of it. Next year I may try walking on at the college I attend, but roster space is pretty tight (as it is at every D1 college haha). I might try and be a manager if (which is very probable) I don't make it.

NBA playoffs have been pretty exciting with the Grizz beating the Spurs and the Mavs sweeping the Lakers. I hate the Lakers so the game today was awesome to watch. Lot of classy players right there.

Teams I root for:
NBA: Rockets
NCAA: Baylor

Teams I freaking hate:
NBA: Lakers, Spurs
NCAA: Texas (Don't even get me started on how many recruiting violations they've committed with Findlay Prep), Duke, Butler (They win, but it's so freaking ugly).

The absolute bane of the Heat is complacency. Like with the Lakers there were many regular season games when the Heat just looked completely disinterested out there and ended up blowing major leads like it's second nature to them.

With that being said Bosh needs to wake the **** up in Game 4 tonight he got MANHANDLED by KG in Game 3.
