But back to the Laker game I have absolutely no idea why Pau Gasol has been so awful in the playoffs this year. This is FAR from the Gasol I watched last year against the Celtics... FAR from it. There is really something wrong with him, mentally.

This is a really sad way to watch someone like him go. He had so much more potential. I really liked him too.

Only thing I could guess is that his long time GF broke up with him 3 weeks ago. Though if you look at other plays who suffered break ups...they never let up. Dirk when he had his girlfriend fiasco...Tony Parker with Eva. Heck, even Kobe with his **** case didn't alter his play.

I guess Pau is just that soft. Lakers weaknesses have finally caught up to them. Mainly the weak bench, lack of a good PG, and a true sharp shooter. Bad move on LA to not go after Peja when his contract was bought out.

I hope LA goes after Aaron Brooks, since he will be a unrestricted agent. Quick and a good 3 point shooter.

I wonder if he'll ever rebound after this year... Lakers fans went from loving him to almost unanimously hating him now after these last 2 series.

Almost every NBA player has that "desire" to win. Pau Gasol makes me think of a kid who's had his share (2 rings) and won't do anymore work. It's almost as if he's satisfied with what he's done.

I'm not saying Gasol can't rebound last year, but I've been criticizing him all year for being soft, not rebounding well, and just not being good on defense. Leaving Dirk for 3's like that is inexcusable.

I'm gonna start dreaming of Bynum and Dwight on the same team. Too good.

Actually, most other sources are saying it was Steve Blake's wife (given how Gasol is not following her on Twitter anymore).

I don't know who it is, but wow...I guess this is what Bynum meant by "trust issues".

I just realized that the Mavs are kinda screwed over the off-season. Assuming the CBA stays the same, Barea will be coming off his rookie contract (1.5 mil), Tyson Chandler's contract ends (12 mil), Butler's contract ends (9 mil), and Peja's contract ends (500 k). Don't see Butler getting much money, and Chandler probably stays the same. But Peja and Barea are definitely in for a raise.

It's gonna come down to how the refs let em play. Notice how in this game Wade and LBJ wern't getting the ticky tack fouls. If the refs continue to play it that way, Boston wins. If they are gonna call the touch fouls, Miami wins.

C's needed that win I'll give it to em. If they win again we very well might be looking at a 7 game series here. Both teams can continue winning on their home court.

My thoughts on round 2 so far:

Wow, I never saw that huge of a Laker meltdown coming. It's over. No Lakers-Celtics rematch, which I have mixed feelings about.

I can't believe the Grizzlies are still playing so well. I now think they'll take the series in 6 as long as they maintain their level of play.

Celtics played badly in Miami but got the needed win at home. They almost need to win again to have a chance though. Also Rondo is a beast.

Hawks need the win today, but regardless of today's game, the Bulls should take the series. The only real variable is how tired they will be going into the next round.

I have no idea what to say right now about the Lakers... They're getting absolutely demolished by the 3 ball.

This is sad to watch... Last coaching game by Phil and maybe even the very last game of the Kobe/Gasol era. Hell who knows what the Lakers team will look like after this series.

Yeah, this series is practically over. Everyone except for Kobe is showing no heart in this game. Even Bynum seems a bit defeated.

I don't know what's gonna come of the Lakers in the off-season. Phil is gonna be gone. The bench has always sucked these past few years, and the point guard play has always been crap. Despite their high payroll, Lakers are gonna have to make some moves to improve the bench and point guard play.

I don't know what to say about Gasol. I'm probably acting like a spoiled brat asking to trade him away, but if he continues to play soft to start the next season, his trade value is gonna keep going down.

Wonder who the next coach should be for the Lakers. I'd like it to be Rick Adelman personally...don't think Brian Shaw is ready.

I'm disappointed in the Bush League tactics Bynum employed at the end. Guy is a dirty player when he's pissed off. Most likely will be suspended 2-5 games starting next season. I don't think Odom will be suspended though.

I always wanted to bet on Lakers' history that they would be okay despite how lazy and poor they played at times, but it wasn't meant to be. I'll be rooting for the Mavs to win it all. Dirk deserves it. Whoever comes out from the Teddy Bears and Zombie Sonics series will pose Dallas a tough challenge.
