I can imagine a scenario in the next direct somewhere in the middle of it they would unveil a Minecraft stage/trophy kind of along the lines of how they showed off that Monster Hunter stage with a boss, Confirming that Microsoft is involved in some capacity and heavily increasing speculation of Banjo-Kazooie then at the end of the direct they will finally reveal their inclusion with a trailer and then at the end of it They will show that black screen with the long list of company copyrights and at the end it will read /Microsoft.

Congrats on the poll win Banjobros, it was close but I guess Isaac was outmatched by the bear and bird.

Thanks It was such a close match-up! And I do believe Isaac is the best choice for a first party character, and really the only good choice (to me) for a new first party IP, which is currently lacking in the roster outside of Splatoon.

Yeah, I get strong Monster Hunter vibes from Minecraft. Both games are more about the world (the monsters/crafting) than the characters themselves and are more suitable for stage/assist trophy. My optimistic predictions are:

1. Sun and Moon stage (with Incineroar playable)
2. Golden Sun stage (with Isaac playable)
3. Banjo-Kazooie stage (with Banjo & Kazooie playable)
4. Monster Hunter stage (Rathalos assist)
5. Minecraft stage (Creeper assist)

Him and that billybo10k are just attention whores and literally post Smash leak videos everyday and blow them out of proportion just for some views, They literally put the word "leak" in the title of every video they make, Classic clickbait, What sucks is theres some Youtubers that make great videos and analysis on Smash related things ,But you have to dig through all this crap to find him.

Haven't really watched his , Just basing that of thumbnails and titles of videos just seems like he gives off that vibe, Then again I'm the kind of guy that doesn't want to give any views or attention to clickbait youtubers with all cap titles and stupid awkward face on the thumbnail or fake pics. It's bad enough I see stupid clickbait ads when I'm browsing the web, I don't need Youtube being filled with them too, So I do my best to ignore them.

I actually like billybo10k, as he timely discusses the things we talk about here in a very analytical and succinct way, very skeptical of the trash that's often taken as gospel in other "leak videos". I do disagree with his opinions--he wants Steve over Banjo--but he's honest, and thinks Banjo has a much higher chance. He's also the one that convinced me Isaac should be the next first party character for Smash from a new series.

But Isabel was already a letdown .

Kinda agree, and I in no way want to insult people who like Isabelle. But from my perspective, in a limited roster, I feel like every character should count. Every character should have multiple things about them that works. Any character, like Isabelle or a Gen 7 Pokemon, who's only reason for being in Ultimate being a singular reason--we need an Animal Crossing rep because it's a popular series, we need a Pokemon because we always have a Pokemon--gets prioritized over other characters who have multiple reasons for being in--moves and unique play style, new characters/settings/music, nostalgia. Popularity is only one of many factors. I came around to accepting Isabelle if she could be an echo, but then had to abandon that once she was a unique character. A unique character--who plays superficially just like another character despite requiring all that work for new animations. In a limited roster. Whyyy.

So Isabelle's inclusion did give me pause--either that means we'll be having more characters than we think and Isabelle's just one, or we have less characters than we think and Isabelle's a significant fraction of that total. And given recent remarks, it seems to be the latter--not the best turn of events. However, even if we don't have that many left, I still think we should end on a bang--and the one character who has everything Smash exemplifies is the bear and bird themselves.

You know, I've been wondering something earlier today.

What if the actual reason they're slowing down reveals is not because of newcomer limits or what have you, but the recent environmental disasters? Sakurai did say that the "original draft" for the Nintendo Direct had to be scrapped (almost certainly due to the Hokkaido quake), and between that and the typhoon tomorrow, it's currently bad timing for new Smash announcements, so November might be quiet enough to start doing that again. How many are left is what's ambiguous.

Either way, they'll have to resume sooner or later, as there's only 24 veterans left to get their own blog posts.

From what I've heard there was a mistranslation that said the old script had to be scrapped--the correct translation only says that the earthquake caused a delay in the Direct broadcast, giving him no choice but to "hold off" publishing the article he had already wrote. So I'm assuming the article's the same outside of the paragraph mentioning the delay.

However, it is worth pointing out that slowing down does not mean less than we expect--it could be a large amount, but spaced slower. Or no information for weeks, followed by a big blowout. All we know is to not expect "dropping a bunch of newcomer trailers all the way up to release" and that they're going to "slow [their] pace". So while I have high hopes, I'm taking this to lower my expectations.

That seems fair, pretty much what I expect. Besides, after doing a bit of math, if we have at least three veteran blog posts per week they'll have run out of them by the final couple of weeks before release.

That aside, another reason B-K would be a perfect fit is due to Sakurai's current habit of breaking the fourth wall in assorted ways.

I think the voice acting hasn't been completed yet. The character videos don't have voices either, which is kind of odd. I think the voice acting is being saved for the last so the voice actors don't accidentally spoil things again. And I hope it'll be "The winner is x", it just sounds better to me.

I think some good animations are their jingle when they colect a jiggy in banjo kazooie, like you said the animation of them playing their instruments at the end of the intro and also either banjo choking kazooie like i linked to a video earlier or the jingle that playes whenever you either collect all 10 jiggies in a stage or open a note door.
