The solution is to get Miyamoto out of the picture. If Koizumi produced, directed or had other sort of creative input for the next game, at least he would be more open to adventurous change.

I mean, look what he did for Super Mario Galaxy, 3D World and Odyssey.

Sigh... I feel like Miyamoto will drag down his franchises until his dying day. I respect the man as he is a legend, but he butts in too much and he doesn't have really any good ideas anymore. I don't like his decisions.

Honestly, I think Nintendo needs to approach the Star Fox franchise like it's Star Wars. Like roaming around planets instead of just only doing Arwing and Tank missions. Give it world building with a bunch of unique characters to boot. It would certainly make the franchise more interesting and make more people invest in it if they go down that route.
Koei Tecmo had pitched a Star Fox Warriors game! It's true! I wonder how they'd get the Arwing segments to work? Well, actually, (and because I just remembered) it was a rumor. But it was Lara Kate Dale who rumored it was rejected!

Oh and guys and girls...https://gonintendo.com/stories/356257-sakurai-suffers-a-health-scare-passes-out-while-at-the-gym He's going to work himself to death if he doesn't slowdown! It's got me very worried for Mr. Sakurai... I hope we don't lose him...

Damn, it got deleted.

Anyway, this echoes my sentiment about taking things out of context for views:

I just hope we don't lose him...like how we lost Mr. Iwata. Oh, I made myself sad. :(

Dude, it's just a little fasting, and he said he's going to make changes to that gym routine so it's better on him, settle down. He'll be fine, he's had worse than this.

Ultimate's the final mission given to him by Iwata, he wouldn't allow himself to falter before the end.

Honestly, I think Playtonic would still need to refine their craft some more, since they're busy carving their niche with Yooka-Laylee.

Gears for Breakfast would be cool though, as long as they're eventually done with Hat in Time.

I really don't know what Gruntilda could really do for her next fight. Maybe a outerspace fight since chikin chikin mentioned the idea of the final boss fight should take place on the moon. It would be pretty cool if Banjo & Kazooie were in that flying saucer from Tooie while Gruntilda was in a giant Death Star ship or Gundam mech in that outerspace fight.

Well, Conker's BFD sequel would have involved a Death Starfish level, so that seems possible.

As long as we actually get intuitive controls rather than expecting to know what to do in such a gameplay change. :ultfox:
Damn was the Gamecube era of Rare one of the biggest missed opportunies in gaming history. Banjo-Threeie, Conker's Other Bad Fur Day, Donkey Kong Racing, DK64 sequel, Perfect Dark: Zero, ect. The buyout of Rare from Microsoft basically screwed us over of that before it even started with Star Fox Adventures being the only Rare title on the Gamecube before they left.

On the flipside, it did prevent us from seeing Nintendo Power having to try not to acknowledge that two games existed for the longest time...Sometimes it feels like BFD was born too early for acceptance of its risky content.

Right now I'm just concerned if we'll get DKC anything in the next few years, a user on the :ultkrool: thread claimed that Retro's not even doing the next one, so it'd be nice to know if we don't have to wait 4 years or so between DKC games. I don't mind the wait though, especially with the weird radio silence for anything except Animal Crossing later this month right now, so there must be some big plans being secretly prepared. :ultvillager::ultisabelle:

It sucks if that's true because I want to see Retro complete the trilogy and I want to see their take on K. Rool and the Kremlings.

And I want to see if Miyamoto's claim of them being able to take on simultaneous projects gets proven true, if not then he'll have made himself look like a world-class buffoon.

I wonder just how many of them they'd bring back, since a ton haven't seen the light of day in years.

You remember when Miyamoto said Mario 128 was a development build of Mario Sunshine, than Mario Galaxy and than a few years later he said it was just a demo game to test the Gamecube's hardware? Yeah I don't put complete trust in his words sometimes. I still believe Master Quest isn't Ura Zelda and that was just a lie by Miyamoto saying that ****.

Not to mention the whole Pikmin 4 fiasco.

Anyway, back on topic, since the Brothers Bear only showed up in DKC3, I wonder if Rare owns them or not. We didn't even get spirits of those guys.

I'm pretty sure Nintendo owns the Brother Bears in DKC3 since they're DKC characters. I don't know if you knew about the whole weird copyright issue when Nintendo owned 49% of Rare where Nintendo owned Banjo-Kazooie and a few other Rare properties while Rare owned the DK64 characters. Nintendo quickly traded Rare for all the Banjo-Kazooie content and ect to get the rights to the DK64 characters and content. I'm sure they did that because they didn't want any other company getting their claws on DK.

More or less did, yeah. In some ways, I'm still glad for that specific tradeoff though, since at least the DK Krew won't be in Rare's vault.

Plus, let's be real, I'd be all in for the day when Lanky Kong becomes the next big meme fan support pick. :nessecho:

I meant Nintendo owns the Brother Bears not Rare since they're DKC characters. My bad. Sometimes I'm not thinking straight when I write.

Dixie is my most wanted DK character now that K. Rool is in. But I would love Lanky as well. I want to see him make his grand return to the DKC next among the Kongs.

It's all good.

So anyway, in the event we get a BK3, I would just hope the character design direction doesn't get messed with like the recent upcoming Battletoads.
Me either. I'm not a big fan of that new arts style for Battletoads. That 90s biker bad*** vibe perfectly suited the Battletoads art style and they ruined it. I don't want that to happen with the Banjo-Kazooie art style.

Hello Banjo & Kazooie thread! Never been here before, but just wanted to inform you of this since I know people in here have talked about his videos before...

BestGuyEver finally made a video for Banjo & Kazooie (akin to the Ridley and King K. Rool videos)!

If some of you are unacquainted with BestGuyEver, he has made a few videos on characters who have been highly requested for Smash over the years and showing their journey to get in (along with a lot of posts and video from detractors). They're really funny to see in hindsight, huh?

The video was good ‘til the ending ruined it.

I would make it where you start off on the moon without the flying saucer where Grunty is in a giant robot and when you defeat her, the head will come off and will fly off then you will get into the flying saucer and chase her. It will end with Banjo using his bear strength to punch the moon into grunty which sends her back to earth where the duo will find her remains. They will find the head of the mech suit where she left a note saying "See you in Banjo-Fourie!"

At that point, the only thing left of Grunty that can even threaten anyone in some way is her eyes. Kinda like in Clean Asia.
