What you're saying isn't completely wrong but you are discounting the choices that are here because of fans. Ridley, K Rool, Little Mac, Megaman, Sonic, Wario, even Bowser, and Peach were fan picks. There are picks that happen because fans want it. I won't claim that they are the majority of choices, Ultimate only added two after all, but we only need one fan pick on the pass for Banjo to happen.

I'm questioning your logic in here.

Sakurai didn't want Chrom in and he only got in because of fan demand. Joker proven to be very popular among fans. Smash 4 DLC was full of characters added for fan demand, only Ryu and Corrin being outliers.

Also what says Sakurai wanting a character "makes it not for fans"?

It honestly sounds like your definition of "fans" is "me", because this post reads like that.

First off, yes they are; Sakurai has gone on record saying that Ridley, K. Rool, and the Belmonts were added because of the Ballot, so it's entirely possible that he and Nintendo may have considered that for DLC.

Second, seriously dude, what are you even doing here? Almost all of your posts have been nothing but trying to convince us that Banjo-Kazooie are not happening because of these arbitrary rules that you think exist. Why do you keep bringing these things up when they don't matter?

Let's remember to report trollish posts, not target and make fun of other users. If they are bringing up bad points, refute them. If they are causing issues, report the posts so the moderation can handle it. Don't backseat Moderate either. Don't attack other users for their opinions(no matter how bad they are). There really is not anything you said with which I can agree (most of this roster was fan service from my POV, at the very least), but most importantly- it does not matter.

Even if you were correct, we know at one time that Sakurai did want Banjo.

This lines up with another rumor that popped up on Twitter on April 24 from MasterofHyrule. An anonymous source told MasterofHyrule that Bayonetta, Shulk and Duck Hunt Dog will return to Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo Switch.

Backstory I guess, since it's gone and no one barely talks about this. A Youtuber named MasterOfHyrule during E3 2017 claimed the whole layout of Nintendo's E3 last year, he got it right even though it could be just a educated guess. This year he came back with the same source, except he came back with the corner(?) of battlefield, names some imports they got for props (Like Bayonetta's boots), and "confirms" Shulk, Bayonetta, and Duck Hunt are back. Then his source got almost busted so he took off any trace of the "leak" existing.

I'm as pro Banjo and anti-Steve as you get. But this isn't "some random person". He could be wrong, and he's got stuff wrong in the past (he said he heard Geno and Sora were in), but this guy isn't just Hitagi or Xenother. He has some credibility especially when it comes to E3 stuff.

Game leaks are different then e3 floor leaks. Mario Maker 2 was talked about for several months before it was officially announced. I still think Nintendo knows better then to just put a big reveal like that out on the floor. Everything this guy has leaked has been really non-essential stuff that would be put on the e3 floor. Right now it would just be generic Smash booths set up. Nintendo would be dumb to just plaster Steve's face on all of it.

I am just...so tired of this hope game we play here. We build up hope by proof we find. And then we always let one thing come along to destroy everything. It's so tiring. It would have been better off at the start for me to not have any hopes for any characters I wanted and assumed the worst possible picks.

Let's not freak out just yet. It's important to note that he only mentioned seeing "signs". Vergeben also mentioned Minecraft "content". These things don't necessarily mean having Steve as a playable character, could just be Minecraft stuff like a stage, etc etc.

Now, if it turns out that Steve is definitely in, I'm hoping that its alongside Banjo&Kazooie for that delicious dual-reveal. Gotta stay positive.

I've made peace with the fact that if Banjo doesn't get in this game he's never getting in Smash. It's not worth getting hopes up every time.
