My friends and I had a silly but very simple idea. What if you were only allowed to use special moves? Which character would be the best and would it be somewhat balanced. From what we could determine, luigi(down b is surprisingly useful), puff, ganon and marth were the best with roy countering puff on some stages. Try it, its funny. U can use ledge attack, shield, get up attack, wd etc but other than that no a moves or grabs.

Fox's waveshines are SDIable and he can't do it to half the cast.

just because they're SDIable doesn't mean he can't use them altogether, and no tactic was ever 100% usable on every character. you're more likely to get shine spiked than you are to get falcon punched or dancing bladed etc.

I comboes into itself on fast fallers. You can shine into up bs too.

And yeah, I would think waveshines are more useful than terrible moves like those.

I'm just sayin, shine combos + Lazors are pretty ridiculous.

B Button Melee means no A, X, Y, Z, L or R buttons.

Just like Single Button (A) Mode.

Relying on Spin Attack to kill? No thanks.

Although I guess you could combo bombs -> spin attack if you're close enough.

I kind of doubt Falco is good. How the **** would he kill? He would either have to shine people into the ceiling, which everybody would expect and DI, or he would have to land up-b lol

marth and roy would probably be second/3rd. Dancing blade, and w/e their neutral B is called. Dolphin slash kills for marth.

space animals would definitely suck. Falco would be better for sure. Pseudo combo shine -> firebird and lasers are broken. Fox can't do anything (no L and R buttons allowed I assume?)

Kirby's swallowcide would be gay, but if you don't approach the edge, he can't do anything.

Bowser's up-b is gay.

DK's up-b is gay.

Falcon and ganon would be ok I guess (wizard's foot, and their up-Bs)

Link would be ok.

Samus would be annoying.

M2 as well.

Luigi could probably hold his own

Pikachu, pichu, zelda, sheik, mario, doc, peach, ICs, Young Link, yoshi, and more wouldl be unusable.
