Mario Kart DD and Smash I have confidence in....but 1080 and FZero own me....FECK!
Hmm...Coro wins the smash by short hop lasers and chicken mans.

After reading the little info that wasnt posted on it yeah that's good but annoying the time span of it :S + fzero and 1080.

Oh well, I'll try win something by impressing at smash. (dreams on) :)

Yeah, congrats on the baby!

Umm yeah Mat good stuff or something.

Other useless stuff by me too, yeah u know the stuff.

L8r all.

*EDIT* I just saw soz, Josh my RPG is practically done...I have the end sequence and one summon animation to go.
I'm pretty sure the summon should be done tonight...I'd say Cella can play through the whole thing to find bugs for me by sunday...It depends how much time I get on the comp though....not to mention how much time I dedicate to the Chrono Trigger 2 project I'm a part of....+I've got two other games just started too....though I want Vamasante's Rise done ASAP so yeah, I'll finish that REAL SOON! Josh, Is it cool if I send it to you on CD then you distribute it to the others there if they want it? One of you guys has a burner right? I just dislike the idea of mass postage.

*EDIT NUMBER 3!(I should read then post right?*
The school has a problem with me wandering around melbourne with 4 people that my teachers have never met before , so to solve this problem, i am going to need
I've no prob with that, though i think it'd be more convincing for the teachers if Josh has his mum tell the teachers we've stayed there before and we didnt kill or **** anything. I'd think that would be more of a plus to our characters than them hearing our voices would be.....or perhaps both if they want it....of course it's up to Josh and his mum if they want to put in the good word for us :)

OK NOW IT'S THE END OF MY POST.....FOR NOW!

i might maybe do good in the smash one, shaz, except for one thing:

29 August: Round 3 - Super Smash Bros. Melee

yeah, that's quite a bit after i'm gone. not to mention i've never played 1080, i suck in mk:dd, and i'm even worse in f-zero...

unless i'm misunderstanding something (very much likely as i'm too lazy to click the links... [ducks head])...

When I read that super screen post I nearly peed my friccin pants! Just ask Ryan or Mat! ^^ I was like WOOHOOO! YES! And all that jazz. I soooo cant wait to redeem myself on the big screen and shut up that stupid fat girl and her no-shoes counterpart. Maggots. I'll drill in the skulls of plenty of people in smash and zip past their scrawny butts in F-Zero. Mario Kart I'm used to so I will fair well and I'm gonna buy/rent Avalanche to get a feel for it. So YEHSSS! OOOOOooooOOOOO!!!!! In fact....

OOOoOOooOoOOooOOOOOooOOOOOooOOOoOooOOOOOoOOooOoOOooOOOOOooOOOOOooOOOoOooOOOOOoOOooOoOOooOOOOOooOOOOOooOOOoOooOOOOOoOOooOoOOooOOOOOooOOOOOooOOOoOooOOOOOoOOooOoOOooOOOOOooOOOOOooOOOoOooOOOOOoOOooOoOOooOOOOOooOOOOOooOOOoOooOOOOOoOOooOoOOooOOOOOooOOOOOooOOOoOooOOOOOoOOooOoOOooOOOOOooOOOOOooOOOoOooOOOOOoOOooOoOOooOOOOOooOOOOOooOOOoOooOOtastic!

Heh, figures you guys already would know about this. Okay, umm... I'm not really interested in trying to get to all of them, as it means
-I'd have to pay $60
-I'd have to travel to wherever the closest venue is (I'm not near any of those :p Why for not at Northland)
-I'd have to get up at 6am or abouts.

That said, players entry for a single day is only $12, and I'd be interested to go to one of the Smash ones. Since competing with you guys means that I have no chance of winning a prize I'd be cool to meet you there and compete anyway. That said it might be a good idea if you guys don't go to all the same venue. I believe if you win at a venue you get a GBA or something to that effect. Besides, I can't really come to any before August the 26th anyway, Manifest (Melbourne Anime Festival) is too big an obligation.

edit: I couldn't find the date on any official website for the event schedule that Kupo quoted. I'm interested to see where it is.

Heh, maybe you guys should plug Smashboards while you are there, I imagine there will be plenty of wildcards that just randomly do well and have never played outside of their little communities before. This might be a chance for Melb people to get a sizable increase here and actually get some indy tournies started

I'm considering just entering Smash and MD:DD myself. I can't see the point of me being ***** in the other two for no good reason. I dunno, we'll see ehh?

Coro....I just went by what Em said...I done no research at all and am sad to hear you can't get in the hot seat and when asked ure name say "el Cory Texas representin y'all!" and scare the bejeebus out of the competition smart enough to know US has had the game 6 months longer than we have. Not to mention mass chicken man short hop lasering.

Ryan...You shall fall to the might of the drumstick roundhouse if you're still to come near the end of the year.

So what you're saying is, that they're top tier, unless you know better? ^^ *** Shaz, you gotta enter them all, or me and Falcon will perform a double Up-B to you! Oh, and Zan I'm still confused about stuff regarding you. PM me with everything to do with your availability and manifest and everything like that, and I will make reference to it before asking more questions next time.

Sorry if I'm not very clear here. I'm attempting to juggle a few things here and there at once while trying to use one as an excuse to meet some of you guys :)

To clarify about the Nintendo Aus competition thing, I will probably go to the 29th August Smash competition, though since none of the venues are really convenient I will try to make it to one that you guys are going to. Hopefully if I can keep my ears open and maybe chat to a few random people (trying to socialise with gamers you haven't met is a bit daunting eh :/) and encourage people to join this board.

Maybe if we all talk really loudly about WWW.SMASHBOARDS.COM we'll see a few new registrations :p

Yeah that sounds good, less noobs in the MD room (which im takling over btw...i dont care which noob or pro wants to say something wrong im ganna correct them....and then say something wrong of my own :) *talks to noobs*I deserve respect u **** noobs!*/talks to noobs* Heheh.) Yeah. So yeah.
I will enter all of it....the way I see it if there's two rounds of smash and MKDD then 4/6 I'll win for sure :) MUAHAHAH....NO ONE WILL STOP ME AT SMASH! NOT EVEN U EMILY! MUAHAHAHA....okay nah realistically I'll get warpstarred by a fat girl and forget u cant sheild it....then bum out the first round....then in the second occassion the same thing but ill dodge backwards and get edgesucked....just to be hit by a misfiring Jon on my helpless decent to an SD and die off the top with an even sounder hatred for Jon, Luigi and their escapades.

Zan: I'm not sure about being able to enter into the Smash without paying the $60 [If you're competing in the smash session that is]. Come as a spectator, $20.

Anyhoo, I'm interested in coming to the gaming session on Thursday Zan. Can I have info on it? Thanks in advance!

Shaz: If we do get Freeplays in the Smash session, "Offical Title" matches ^_~.

Cella: No mercy on n00bs/me/Shaz/Jon. Cheep Cheep. <3

You can purchase: 1. (i) season player ticket ($60) and/or (ii) season guest ticket ($20) (limited to one per season player ticket) or 2. (iii) single session player ($12) and/or (iv) guest ($5) ticket (subject to availability after the first round). Season player tickets will be given a season pass upon registration which must be presented at each session to participate. Original season passes accepted only. No replacement season passes given. No refunds will be given at any stage.
Umm... sorry about being quiet about the thing on Thursday, our venue got cancelled by the idiotic guy at RMIT so we are sitting on our hands waiting for a venue. I'll tell ya when I know

You talking this Thursday? As in 2 days away? Eh? Ke pasa? Ok, plenty to do this week for me, and not enough conscious hours to do it all in. We'll have to meet up, and hopefully before August Zan. Remember the PM? Ok, send when you can. Comment tu? Oh yeah, and Mat. It would be wise of you to be on the net between 5:30 and 9:30pm tomorrow and Thursday, if possible. We need to make some last minute arrangements.

*edit* Sorry Zan, I have the PM you sent, SWF just didnt notify me straight away.. odd.

Finally, talk about last minute...

Okay, at last minute we have had a venue change to:
Melbourne University, Theatre A, Richard Berry building. It's this Thursday coming (8th of July) and will be running from 10am to 5pm. If you wish to come, it might be benefitial to get into contact with SabreAnt and arrange to all come at once since people seem to know each other, and I'm aware of how difficult it is to locate buildings on the Melbourne Uni campus.

I should point out to you guys that this isnt a games day, it's an anime marathon run by my club. Since I will spend most of the time outside the theatre anyway it shouldnt matter too much, and as long as I can find a place nearby that I can hook a small TV and a cube up to, there will be some gaming. I'm mostly using this opportunity to meet you guys, but it would be cool if ya's stuck around for a couple of screenings, and there will be a raffle at some point, free of charge.

I know a while ago I said I was planning a gaming event... I still am, but have yet to pin down a venue which is either free or cheap... and allows to go past 6pm. Once I find something suitable I'll let you guys know about it.

SabreAnt: In that case, you might want to check your inbox once again. :)

All good Kupo. We'd stick around longer if we could, however as we are relying on another Uni's club for the venue we want to play it safe.

I got to check the venue out today, and I'm a tad worried about it. The theatre is really nice and all, though it is difficult to find a nearby area that I can game in. All will pan out in a last minute rush to get everything organised tomorrow morning though. Hehe

Hey Zan, I'm in crazy *** mofo mode now. You get my last sms? I aint comin unless I get your personal details. You know, in case your a 45 year man with a fettish for meeting people from the net. If you are, I'll set Falcon loose on you. Ok, it seems kinda late to call you know, seeing as it is 20 to 12. I want to call, but for decency's sake I wont. Grrr.. This really is last minute planning isnt it? Oh well I hope you read this and call me or sms me or whatever.

...phew its been a busy day. I was kinda run off my feet, and once I got home after dropping Jon and Shaz off at the train station and my gf off at her house I realised that I hadn't eaten anything all day.
Well, I guess the first thing to do was apologise about the randomness tha was the marathon. You guys kinda showed up a bit late to see anything worthwhile and I thank you for waiting patiently for what little gaming we did there, and making the trip again to my house to play for a little while. I didn't realise that all of you guys lived so far away from me, which is disappointing, as I doubt I'll learn much more without someone to try it against except for lvl 9 comps.

As far skill, I lost every game that I played, but immiediate holes in my game are apparent. Mostly falling for mind games, and having nearly none myself, and of course too much rolling, and lacking the ability to short hop and really do anything other than tech every now and then. As expected though, both of you guys have more skill than anyone I've come across before. Shaz particularly should be happy to win a 2 vs 1 match, his DK vs my fox, and a friends Samus... which got a few cheers from a little crowd that had begun to crowd around. It's a pity we didn't get more time to play it in the theatre, passing controllers around to maybe a few other people and getting more friends interested may have been good, I know some there would go through the effort to learn it if they got a chance to see the ammount of depth there is to the game.
That Naruto game looked like a bit of fun. I'll definately obtain a copy of that next time...

This marathon was also the first time I'd met a whole bunch of other people in person as well, and interest for a gaming day was shown. Hopefully if people start talking someone will find a suitable venue ^^;;

Hehe... the MKDD thing... I remember the Captain Falcon comment now :p

Kupo: Don't worry too much about missing it, the only real motive for coming in the end would've been just to say hello in person, since we didn't get to game all that much.

naruto game? who's was it? and was it 1 or 2? i normally suck at normal fighters but i find the naruto ones to be fun, especially number 2 since it has ffa and teams in it : p

Naruto was pretty good, and I beat the guy who owned the game in a match, so I was pleased ^^ Good to meet you Zan, hopefully you can trek out this way sometime. We'll be happy to come to any games things you set up.

It was 2. Naruto has only really been a big thing since the beginning this year as far as the anime scene goes, and by the time people found out about the games, 2 was already available.
But yeah it seemed to be a lot of fun, and any Naruto fans best drag their arses to the Melb anime festival cos I'll be running a comp of it and some other games there ;)

Sabre: I'm more than willing to come out there so long as I'm free, as it seems to be a **** of a lot more convenient than all of you guys coming here. :)

First of all Zan, your earlier post was kinda wrong....I (Shaz) didnt win a 2v1 as DK, that was Jon....I won a FFA as DK though.
To be honest after beating you in the FFA with Bowser I kinda tried to ease you in to our skill levels just incase you were turned off by losing...Sorry if it sounds bad though I've seen it before...I don't think you're that kind though....so yeah.
You did win matches by the way....ure Fox beat mine, ure Fox beat Jons Falco, and you did come pretty close to beating his Ganondorf too...next smash wins style.

Jon you're good at leaving out details too my friend....you only beat that guy (cant remember his name now soz) coz it was practically three on one and you were the cheap one willing to throw projectiles from afar.....even so he almost killed u with a millimeter of health left when u were full health lol...all the same u won!

And now I shall go see Mat....

Ah, my bad. I wasn't paying all that much attention in the theatre I guess.

Yeah, the bowser game was amusing, but even if you let up I didn't mind too much. To be honest I'm used to getting beaten quite baddly in other fighting games (just gotten back into the arcade scene, I was about... 10 years old when I stopped) and it was just good to just see well played characters. Shaz your falco was amazingly fun to watch, and I felt increadibly slow reacting to it. Admittedly near the end when I was chosing different characters I was giving up trying, but that was mostly because I was exhausted.

The other guys name was Byron, or Baorin as he goes by on the net. I might try and get him into Smash, he's a little more accessable for practise than you guys are ;)

I didnt claim to win the Naruto fight based on skill :p anyhoo, I'm home from the city (again) twas good to catch up with you Mat, and glad to see you. Hope we get some smashing done next time! And not just walk into department stores and fantasise about hooked up the cube whilst the attendants arent looking. Lol, staring at a plasma that we could have easily commandeered if we had the guts to. Oh well, fun regardless. Oh, I think my face is sunburnt. Go figure. I havent got much else to say, and oh yeah, thanks for coming Em. Cant believe we found you so easy!

Well, we had TAFE today. What a boring start. The whole day was one giant slow slug. And the travel time is almost an hour! In peak traffic too. Well hopefully thinks will pick up once we start the practical side of things, like welding. Thats on Thursday I gather. Anyhoo, tomorrow we have off already so YEHS to that!

I forgot to ask, if you're travel time is an hour, are you guys anywhere near the city? I hope so, that would make things a little more convenient for meet ups and such.

We're nowhere near the city, Zan. Besides, either Shaz/Jon/Cella will have work on both Saturday and Sunday.

I'm heading to the City on Saturday to go buy some animes. I can drop by and play a game or two ^^.

Jon: What's your schedule like now? Four days a week at Tafe?
