i made one. link is somewhere in the thread. it's no longer easy to find stuff due to the search function being disabled and tichinde being busy.

I guess it's around 40 sec.

and I figured that after burning my first ISO; I really need to customize victory fanfares a little bit... all having Saria's song just sucks
guess I'm uploading some nice 40 sec. files and see if somebody here can convert them to .hps for me :S

but it's so easy, you don't even have to loop them. just hps insert and finish

but is it just hps insert?

there's no hex editor and more stuff to do¿ the video guide seemed pretty complicated..

the victory themes are one-shot play files.
just hps insert and that's it.

My .wav files sound okay, but when I change them to 32000hz sample rate (as godfed's guide says) they sound horrible
should I do the hpsinsert process regardless of that so then they would sound nice in-game?

I am a real mess with this stuff

ps.
honestly, would be a lot easier if somebody could make them for me :(

my guide really assumes you will refer back to the written guide.

they are all 41000hz or so

yeah but I'm bad at this stuff for real, it takes me ages to learn to do something like this
it's not that your guide is bad or anything, it's just me sucking at it XDD

I've been reading the writen guide too, that's why I asked about sample rates

get your song
loop it to over 8 minutes
save L and R as separate wav files
open hps insert
type what it says
done

not joking, this is what i do, takes 2 min per song, works and sounds perfect

question...I noticed alotta files have the same nr_name.ssm filename and I keep replacing it for certain sound files...does this mean if I had it for one particular sound...it'll be gone if I replace the file for another sound?

like for example 3,2,1, Quit Life is nr_name.ssm now when I checked the Kira pack there's a file w/ the same name...


...will 3,2,1 Quit Life be gone?

i dont know what program u use, but in audacity, at the bottom left u just change the project rate to 32000 then export as wav... dont touch the original sample rates when u import/edit them at the start

Hey this is a question directed at anyone who uses SleepyK's guide. I have not been able to to get the hps insert to work. After doing some looking around in GodFed's guide i think i need these files, dspadpcm.exe, soundfile.dll, dsptool.dll, in my folder with the 2 wav files and the hps file. The problem is I dont know where I can get these. Any help would be appreciated.

watch hps guide part 6 by tehtechnoguy.

actually not "sounds perfect" due to lack of dsp coefficient hex editing, but it works just fine.
